I wonder how many people here uses photoshop and how many paid the 699 $ it costs.

You complain about something you paid for while other's didn't, but when nobody can afford it it's okay to download?

Maybe for some 60$ is as unaffordable as 699$
can't buy it? don't play it, yes?
then all of you uninstall photoshop right now, and your cracked copy of windows 7 ultimate, and microsoft office, and...

Well, not EVERYONE has the things you name. I for example don´t know where to get a cracked windows 7 and am therefore still stuck with Vista-sh!t.
But besides of that, good point.

I paid for my OS and for Photoshop. Nice attempt at a straw man argument, though. Hey, other people somewhere in the world probably didn't pay for Photoshop, so now I get all my games for free. Score!

Hey, Jeffery Dahmer ate and killed people. All I did was run some guy down with my car. Whatevz!

Hey, the American government imprisoned people without due process and tortured them! I'm going to pour hot tar and broken light bulbs on my next door neighbor's crotch because he didn't return my weedwhacker last week! USA!!

And so on, and so on....

my point remains, to complain about people pirating games, you shouldn't have a single piece of pirated software in your computer.

This is like environmentalists complaining about the murdering of arctic baby seals .They complain because seals are cute, but other animals are killed that way and nobody cares because they're ugly beasts who don't awaken compassion feelings.

You complain about gaming piracy because gaming is your passion, but pirating other softwares is equally bad, the programmer who charges 29.99$ for a defragmentation disk is putting equal effort into his work.

"oh, but I'm not paying 30 dollars to defragmentate my HDD twice a year"

oh, and you paid for OS and photoshop because you say so.

and now you'll say you don't have A SINGLE piece of pirated soft in your comp.

You are a great person,

Well, I don't. Aside from what came with my OS, I have Photoshop, Maya and 3DS Max, Manga Studio Debut and some opensource stuff like DAZ3D. Got student discounts on most of them, but yeah... I paid for them, amazing concept. And you know what? If I couldn't have afforded them I'd would've... gone without! *gasp* I'll give you a minute to wrap your head around that.

Your reasoning is completely ridiculous. Because other people have done similar things in the past, that makes it OK? And you keep throwing it out there like *I* do it, or everyone does it, when that just isn't the case. People with no respect for sacrifice or the work of others,  people stuck in that "gimme gimme now" mentality, maybe, but you might want to stop assuming everyone has the same problems as you.

Ok folks can we just agree that piracy = bad. Companies who design software and games are in it to make money, just like artists, musicians, actors, directors, and the list goes on. When you pirate something be it software music movies whatever, you are taking away from that medium's income. Meaning that the price has to go up for everyone else. This causes more people to pirate stuff because now even less people can afford it. You see the huge downward spiral this creates. If you love something support it by paying for it. In the end it will help out everyone.

You're clearly not reading closely enough. His whole argument is "other people have taken things without paying for them, therefore it's OK for me to pirate games".

Now try again, only this time, don't be a ****ing dumbmass.

And filetemon breaks it down for imbeciles like outlaworacle. Thanks.

I haven't known a SINGLE person who hasn't done something illegal as far as copyright violation goes. From copying more than 10 pages from a book at the local library to downloading a couple of MP3s without paying for them. The fact that most of you got your panties in a twist is because some pirate hurt your feelings by pirating a video game that is made by a company they support.

But really, you only have a say in the matter if you haven't done anything illegal in your entire life as per copyright law. Otherwise you're like a cheap **** who complains that a more expensive **** earns more money.

I have to say, being called an imbecile by a World of Warcraft devotee is like music to my soul. I must be doing something right.

Whatever you tell yourself, piracy is cowardly bull**** for people with no character. You might not know anyone who's never pirated something, but that speaks more to your choice of company than reality.

And as I said before, other people having done it doesn't mean it was right for them or some how give your moral impunity to do the same.

Two points

1. According to your own logic, you're a **** too.

2. I haven't done anything illegal in my entire life as per copyright law.

Which leads me to my closing statement

Get to sucking, ****.

haha judging people you don't even know because they pirate the occasional video game? You're a retard.
I've better things to be spending my money on these days, so video games are last on the list. If a company puts out a **** product, or it's just too expensive for a University student to afford, I don't intend on buying it. Piracy is going to exist and happen.

This is generally used more as a piffy excuse for piracy than a justifiable reason.
I like the icon thing for registered games, it helps you pick out possible scumbags.

I never said piracy was good or bad, are you seriously this retarded or are you just trying to get a rise out of me? Go back and read my previous post.

Here I'll say it again so even mouthbreather like you can understand it: most people have done something in their life that violates copyright law, so they have really no right to complain about pirates.

Now calm down Mr. Holier-than-thou internet white knight. Have a beer and go get laid. And remove that huge pole from your ass while you're at it.

I'm not one of them, so I reserve the right to complain. How hard is that to understand? I pay for the things I want and if I can't pay for them, I don't take them, even if the oppurtunity is there.

I've been drinking all day, thanks, and I had sex twice this morning before my friend had to go to work. Why not go back to "pwning" World of Warcraft?

I'm not quite sure why boys rabidly defend some faceless company. It's really quite cute when you think about it. LOL
What the hell are you going on about my dear? Selfish retard? I'm trying to pay off my student loan. Video games are hardly worth buying at the moment, and sometimes I'd rather not risk wasting money on a product that will prove disappointing. If I pirate a game and it turns out to be really good, I usually do go out and buy the actual product. Same with certain albums of music. That being said, I haven't pirated any Dragon Age games. I also have no loyalty to 'Bioware' or any other video game company. I'm not some prepubescent fan boy though, so that could be why.

Because I'm an artist and a writer and a game developer (not just video games but that's a big part of what I do). And no I'm not claiming to work for some major company like I'm a bigshot, I'm amateur/aspiring.
