Which is why ME3 would be incredibly epic if Tali turned out to be a Prawn from District 9.
Bonus points if Shepard yells the F word in that crazy South African accent.

I don't really care why they like her; it doesn't matter to me anymore.
You see, I actually liked Tali before I came here and saw the thousand-page thread. Then I just envisioned her as someone else's masturbatory fantasy and all appeal was lost to me.
Tali fans. You killed Tali for me.
Ah yes, the old I hate her now because she's popular. I wouldn't be surprised to learn you also hate popular music. That's an incredibly immature attitude you have there. Judging from what I've seen...
More accurately, these boards gave an impression of excellence with regards to her character that generated expectations that she could not fill. In my opinion.
In the conquest of searching for what exactly it is that all these Tali fans like about her so much I actually started to like her less when I realised her character was devised by Bioware to please the dicks of every Tali fan out there.
It's like how you'd hear a song and you'll think "not too shabby" and then you look up the lyrics and find out that they're written for the soul purpose of cashing in to the teenage demographic of self-hating whiners that don't want to cut their hair and hate their mummies.
I'm not interested in starting some fucking e-war, anyway. You all love some Tali - that's fine. I just wish you could love her a bit more quietly.

Tali is easier to like than Jack. I mean, she digs on Shepard from moment one, Jack you have to work at... and the girl don't make it easy. She snarks at people, acts out, all that jazz. Tali just makes moon eyes at Shepard (not being derogatory, just stating fact). Tali's a beachfront holiday on a tropical island; warm, inviting, stress-free and you don't want to leave. Jack's climbing a mountain; it's tough going, it wears you out, sometimes you want to give up... but when you get to the top... that view is breathtaking
