It's like how you'd hear a song and you'll think "not too shabby" and then you look up the lyrics and find out that they're written for the soul purpose of cashing in to the teenage demographic of self-hating whiners that don't want to cut their hair and hate their mummies.
Man, **** mummies. Things should have the good sense to stay dead.
I giggled.
Mummies have feelings too, you know...
Yeah yeah, I know, I saw the Disney movie with the mummy and the kids.
Sequel sucked though.

It just seemed rather awkward to me. Jack didn't seem to fit into Shep the commander hero. I kind of like her character and she seems to have a softer side to her. Just seemed like a real incompatible relationship to me though.Azint wrote...

LIGHT QUARIAN ARMOR...really that fricking rare? It's the only thing the entire race wears and they ALL WEAR ARMOR ALL THE TIME!! WTF?!
I only got Colossus armor for her one play through out of 12.

I think the reason Tali has such a following is because so many people spent hundreds of hours trying to get her Colossus armor in the first game that they feel they have a major investment.

Personally I think its that fact that we don't know what she looks like, thus it adds to her mystique and it allows us to picture her as whatever we want her to be. (And I am willing to bet that if her face is revealed in ME3, there are going to be tons of people pissed at her appearence , not matter what it is.)
Plus lets face it people, she is a hot, alien nerd, whose personality is a combo of innocence, sweetness, and badassery in equal measure. And just to add iceing on the cake, she can blow your head off with a shotgun at 100 paces. The net that she casts is wide indeed.

It's just faith that she'll be hot. All the points made about her being a good character (good personality, good shape, good acting) could also be said about other romances such as, I dont know, Miranda.

Funny, cause I got her Colossus armor from BDTS, which automatically gives it to you if you're high level and ask for the rare quarian armor.

And then there is some irrational irrationality inbreeding, but I digress.

I find Jack unromanceable. Jack has a lot of issues that I don't think match up well with commander Shepard the saviour of the galaxy. Miranda is a Cerberus company girl that I don't trust.Daurf815 wrote...

And who says I don't love Legion? Well not romantically mind you, but Legion is probably my favorite character in the game. One loyalty mission and several conversations by Legion turned him and the geth from omnicidal metal monsters into the most understanding and sympathetic race in the galaxy. Plus his unintentional humor is priceless.Nerivant wrote...

I mean, love in a "I WILL KILL MYSELF IF THEY AREN'T A LI FOR ME3!!!!!!!!!!111!!!!!" kind of way.
Which is essentially the vibe I get from most of the threads in this section.

Thanks thread starter. Now we have yet another thread about Tali floating around the first page. Oh and thanks, Flies by Handles, you just bumped this thread up in the first page.
Wishes there were less romance/adoration topics of any character flooding these forums....
Well there would be only one thread of Tali if people didn't start 3 threads a day complaining about the one Tali thread. Then of course the hate Tali(or romance thread)people who jump on to complain and bump those 3 threads constantly.
Not a hard concept, almost all the adoration threads are single self contained threads. The only reason this board is flooded with these threads, is someone decided their take on the Tali or Garrus phenononem is so original and important, that they must post a new thread to complain about there being too many such threads.

My feelings exactly Tali's personaity is bland compared to some of the other LI's. The only one Tali beats is Jack who is a stereotype (and I played her romance to completion, I know).
But Tali gets beat by Miranda, Ash and Liara everytime. Even Samara but I don't consider her a real LI although her character is very interesting.
