It's just faith that she'll be hot. All the points made about her being a good character (good personality, good shape, good acting) could also be said about other romances such as, I dont know, Miranda.

I kept hoping for a Renegade conversation option with Miranda that would let me point out that she can't possibly be as perfect as she thinks she is if she hasn't even noticed that her head looks like a wet sack of potatoes with a wig on it.  I'm sure that would have cleared all of her issues right up.

The issue that I, and presumably YS, take with Tali is that I now fear that the Tali character is written as fanservice rather than the initially-intended Tali. It's not an illegitimate fear to think that BioWare will spend time that could have been used for other ME content to appease the nutjobs.

It's not the fandom in and of itself that has ruined the character for me. It is what the fandom has lead to - that being the changing of the character from how she was originally portrayed. In short, I don't want BioWare changing Mass Effect to appease fan groups.

For example, I don't know if this is the case, but imagine if the original face BW had in mind for Quarians was unattractive (I'm not saying it was/is - this is just hypothetical), but when they actually do show Tali's face, they'll use a new design because they don't want to upset the Talimancers.

Do you see what I mean?

*facepalm* tali is the same tali from ME1 we are not changing her alot Tali fans don'rt even want her face to be revealed I don't care if they do or not this biowares game not ours we just buy and play it they'll make tali look like what they want her to look like and your reason for not liking Tali is still blight you should like a character because they appeal to and fans wanting something shouldn't take that appeal away. most just like her personality myself included
