Yes, it would be stupid to not like Wrex because of his large fanbase. Let's hypothesize! Say in ME1 a lot of ladys loved Wrex. They decided they wanted his irresistable lizard cock and they were going to stop at nothing to have it in their collective minges. And, let's say that Bioware took note of this fact and ensured that he had a secure place in our team in ME2 and was established as a love interest.

Wouldn't it be great? He'd be all like "I just want you to know what my pecs look like under this armour. Did Wrex or Samara have a legion of frothy-mouthed chicken-feet fetishists threatening to burn the dev teams houses were they not to include some Shepard on Aids-ridden-space-gypsy action? Devs will always respond to what they know is going to be a hit in their fanbase. And we know that Tali made a lot of very disturbing people very happy.

A mixture of mystery, skintight suits and the personality of that nerdy girl they have a crush on in Secondry school seemed to do it.

IMHO an early poster almost nailed it.  A few of other factors are:

-- The voice & the dome both add to the mystery && mystique [sp?]
-- She seems to have a crush on you back which must be appealing at a base level
-- Effectively she's "pure" while the others have been around the block

Of course I'm sure all of the above have been posted a million times but that's my opinion anyway.

look it's very sijmple, a lot of males in the world (as much as some do not like to admitt it) enjoy a woman who is dependent and totally taken with them



Tali put the very IDEA of shepard above any quarian suitor for 2 years....she even often finds herself thinking "what would shepard do"



she fulfills not a fantasy but a strangely hardwired desire that a lot of guys have. To top that off she has an AWESOME voice actress, flaring hips (which guys are hardwired to like) and of course in ME1 she had the whole "allure of the forbidden/unreachable" thing going....

I say we capture several fanatical Tali-ban members, and bring them to a deep dark space station, we melt them down into paste to create...

The Citadel would quake in fear as it stormed through space, flooding the extranet with various fanfic posters and wallpapers. The Alliance would crumble as it bellowed pointless quotes in a mighty voice,  declaring to the universe "How much Shepard said meant to it". Even the Batarians would slink away in fear as it tore apart the Citadel, constructing a large model of the Tali-god's helmet. Then it could go inside with all of its followers and each one could take turns telling the story of how they romanced Tali until the end of time.
I could do it by Tuesday.

God...their reactions make my day...videos especially infuriate them XD
