Hi, I apologize if this bug has already been reported, I'm new to the forum.  I know the expansion has only been out like 5 days, but I've already beaten it on both of my characters.  Very enjoyable, but too short, imo! *cries*

Bug:

On my rogue, the first time around, I had no problems with the silverite mine dungeon.  However, I discovered a rather disturbing bug on my mage.  When she woke up after certain events, instead of wearing a set of Clothing like the rest of the party members, she was completely naked.  I looked in her inventory and was mystified to find that she had been only partially stripped, she was still wearing her rings, belt and neck.  Also, I still had my inventory-- if the event goes as it's supposed to, YOUR INVENTORY SHOULD DISAPPEAR COMPLETELY and you'll find it again in a chest later on in the dungeon.  As I cleared the entire dungeon and got my stuff back, there was no fourth Experimental Subject with my mage's gear.  In other words, most of her gear was missing, and nowhere to be found.  I reloaded from the beginning of the silverite mine, and still, over and over, she kept waking up bugged out.

Fix:

I loaded a save before I got captured and stripped my mage of her armor before I got captured.  However, I left her secondary weapons, her sword and shield, on by accident.  When the cutscene proceeded she was clothed and normal, and the fourth experimental subject did appear with my loot.

I'm thinking the bug has to do with the Armor of Hirol set that she was wearing, or Andruil's Blessing, The Spellward, or Lifegiver.  No one was wearing that stuff in my rogue's party.

Some other bugs that I found too:

When you are in Kal'Hirol with Sigrun, you encounter a prisoner who tells you he stole something and offers it to you in exchange for his release.  If you tell him to give it to you, then boot him screaming into the lava anyway, you gain +95 rep with Sigrun.  However, she is still neutral and doesn't have any of the stat gains associated with the party member liking you.  Thus, I don't recommend doing this.  Amusing, but odd...

Also, if your Warden Commander uses the imported Cailan's Armor set, she herself can get the bonus, but any other companion in the party who wears the set will NOT get the bonus.  I don't know if this is true for any of the other imported armor sets or just this one.

Some of the childer grubs in the last dungeon like to warp around the screen.

There is a weapon rune that seems really awesome at first glance, but has a sort of conundrum associated with it.  It gives you +5% ranged critical chance (+5% melee too) and +20% backstab/critical damage, but there are no ranged weapons in which you can socket anything.  Thus, +5% ranged critical chance is just a mean, mean tease!

Are you guys sure you balanced the sustainable archer ability Accuracy correctly?  My rogue is critting people for 350 per shot (with a 85% chance to crit), with a record max of 1049 in one hit, lolz.

I'm also pretty sure that Lady Liza Packton showed up at Vigil's Keep shortly after I killed her at Stark's Farm.

Just a few things off the top of my head!  Thanks for giving me an enjoyable week. <3

Oh, another bigger bug. After the second incident at Vigil's Keep, you can no longer turn in your last piece of lyrium sand to the Dworkin the Mad guy. You can't even talk to him, but he has a big fat arrow on top of his head for the rest of the game.

Also, if you agree to help the smugglers and then you change your mind and help the guards, you forever get a quest arrow distracting you above the inn, all the way until the game's end. Also at any point after the smugglers are gone you can ask to have the path opened at the inn and still get in trouble for helping the smugglers.

I have just experienced the bug you're describing about missing gear for your own character. I have lost all of my items, all of them, none of them could ever be found ever again. All I know is that I have fought against three characters wearing the gear of my three companions, but I never found my own gear, not in a any chest and not on any enemies. Unfortunately I have no auto-saves before the first Silverite Mine cut-scene occurs, it's all saved after we get out of the holding cells area with my main character almost naked, I had to fight the whole wait with my fists thinking that eventually I would find my items.

Now after reading this thread I understand that it's a seriously major bug. I'll know better for my next game though, I will make a save myself right before entering the mines just in case.

So it seems to me this bug only happens if you are an arcane warrior. If you are wearing equipment that normally takes strength but you are using magic as a substitue the game freaks out because the 4th mob is a mage and cannot wear strenght items. It is not specific gear rather any item with high strenght you would not normally be able to wear as a mage. I confirmed this by changing my gear to cloth and my sword and sheild to a staff. When it was all magic equipment the problem didnt occur

This is also the reason that your trinket rings and belt remain because they do not require strength to wear them

I was an arcane warrior as well and did not experience this bug. Then again, I wasn't in full plate armour at the time. I did however have plate armour gauntlets and a two handed sword equipped.

It happened on my warrior too. I had on stuff from Shayles quest so I saved just outside the mines (this happened previously) and went back the keep dropping all my gear and everything else in my inventory (Including Ander's kitten) into the chest there. I bought some decent armor off Wade (nothing spectacular) to replace the player modded DLC items I had and went back. Yes I got some nasty bug inside that wouldn't let me retrieve ANYthing that was in my inventory as well as on my back. NO WAY was I leaving Sir Pounce-a-lot with the bad guys!

I had on Lifegiver, Andruil's blessing and Corruption from the base game and this time it didn't bug. First time I still had Harvest Ring and Helm of Honnleath. Also I noticed when it DID bug it was dark around my PC and the captor during their cutscene prior to the awakening in the cell.

I just had this bug with my warrior, thus it not happens only for arcane warrior. I was wearing the Armor of Hirol and after the cutscene I was only wearing my belt, necklace and my rings. Fortunately I have a save before the mines, I will try your workaround, thanks !

Happened on my female rogue, and she's not wearing Hirol's armor. I believe she's mostly on Trickster's armor. I don't have anything left, but the city's key (ring slot).

So yeah, that sucks. I'm gonna try the workaround right now, hoping my last save wasn't from too long ago...

City's key makes it bug too (I hear) I never got it so I am not sure but that's what i have heard. For me it was the Honnleath stuff that bugged me out.

I saw on another thread someone talking bout a file recovery system but that was in regards to someone who accidentally deleted his Origins file so not sure if it pertains to your problem or not.

You may just be screwed into starting over (which is what I had to do as all my first saves were in the damn mines, even the Auto saves).

I had on the Helm of Honnleath, Harvest ring, and the Warden's Commander Armor on my warrior and fortunately I did not experience this "missing inventory" bug.

I have a question: how do you get back IN to the mines after you leave? I tried going through wending woods or whatever and just get to that part where the cutscene where you get captured would trigger, but I see no path leading beyond that, and apparently I can't quicktravel there either. I left and then checked my quest log and realized I didn't loot the wedding ring for the guy in there for his sidequest. so um, yeah..

I cannot f'ing believe bugs like this. I lost all of my gear save for my jewelry. Way to go Bioware, I must say, whoever is doing quality control on Dragon Age needs to be fired. Patch 1.03 may be one of the buggiest patches ever, and Awakenings has so many bugs it is incredible.

The story guys, good job, it's a fun game if not as in depth as DAO. I would enjoy Awakenings a lot if I didn't have to restart several times just to make sure I can do certain quests or find my f'ing gear.

Yeah QA was in vacation when DA:A was developed. The missing DLC at the start was the most obvious, but this one is very serious too. Luckily I tend to save often, so I had a savegame from right before the mine entrance after the last chest was empty for my (male) warrior (not arcane ;))

Anyway, the bug isn't that bad if you have some savegames (and seriously: how can you play a rpg and using the same save again and again?), but another example of the "rushrush releaserelease" of this game.

had this happen to my rogue on my 2nd play through. the first play through with my rogue (same char different builds) worked fine. this time i went to town after getting the elf "forced" into my party. when i came back she wasnt "forced" but i put her in anyway. and got hit with the bug, they were the same char but with different talent specs and i had the heartwood bow as the only different piece of gear.

Happened to my character as well, human warrior. I left the area and went to the keep to sale and came back. I have no saves before the mine either so I guess I'm just SOL. Makes me so mad I don't even want to play anymore really.

Good point-- she WAS wearing the Key to the City ring, my mage.... but oddly I thought it wasn't the problem because I thought my rogue had been wearing that too, if I had recalled correctly.

I had considered the Arcane warrior str/mag thing before but I figured that since the bug didn't occur when she was still wearing her sword and shield, that surely that wasn't the issue.

I'm glad that I could help someone, I know if it had been my first playthrough in which this had happened I would've been much more confused and angry.

I'm sorry to say but I don't believe you can re-enter the mines at all once you leave. I think you are unfortunately SOL Shauk.

Just happened to my rogue.  Fourth guy won't show up at all.  He was wearing Wade's Superior Drake Scale armor, but I think it's Andarial's Blessing that's doing it, as he was wearing that at the time. The big thing is that I'm 12 hours into the game and had bought the 174 gold dagger and now seems like they are gone since I don't have a save prior to the mines.  Thanks a lot Bioware for releasing such a buggy expansion.

Hi, the workaround worked fine for me, thanks a lot ! It let me notice that the first time in the mines was completely bugged as:

- in the cut scene all was black except the PNJ and my char. The second time I had the cutscene after trying the workaround, I was able to see the walls and the room

- as it was said I was naked the first time and wearing the set of clothes the second time

- I had all my inventory except my armor and my swords in my bag whereas the second time my bag was empty (and I correctly retrieve all my stuff in the chest near the merchant)

Sorry but I don't remember if I was wearing the key of city or not when I had the bug :/
