Well, I've just had this bug happen to me and had no idea such a bug existed. Such a shame I feel I now need to read every spoiler thread and post I can find here or on DA Wiki before doing any more of these ****g Awakening's quests.

Mayhaps their QA department is too busy working on SWTOR to bother? All them eggs EA has in that one basket make me think so!

The bug happened to me too just now. All my mains warrior equipment is gone. I saved before the entrance to the mine ...but don´t feel like doing the whole dungeon again though, so I will just get some replacement equipment for it.

Still I guess I will have to read through DA Wiki too now. Even though it will have spoilers...

Yeah thought the same. I mean some bugs are normal when a PC game comes out. But for a  relatively simple, relatively short expansion, the amount and gravity of bugs are enormous. I feel like a beta tester playing the game.
Makes me really wonder why it obviously was so rushed? Hmm....

Well next time i will better wait some month before buying, until they have patched most major bugs.

after fighting 2 dragons naked, and losing all my gear... well F me!

got a random drop last night of tier 7 templar boots. they make the lower half of any character's legs disappear. very strange. item also sells for zero coins and is bought for zero coins. not sure at all what this is, but it's a bug for sure.



stripping my character before entering the mine is what works for me so i can get all my equipment back.

It worked ok with my silverite Warden Commander armour. In fact my custom made Silverite Warden Commander helm worked, too. The only issue I saw was that my unequipped inventory remained.

lost my clamshell armor (main caharacter) keening blade and dark velvet blade. not to mention a few other valuable items, ALL in the silverite mines. well, thanks for the boiware, now i'll have to delete all the saves from awakening, give up playing, and trash it some place until a new patch comes out that fixes this. i spent close to 10 hrs in playing in vain, coz if i want to continue, i'll have to do it with trashy equipment. and with this current lineup of equipment i dont stand a chance in hell in beating the mother, which is one tough **** to put down not to mention a lot of other hard bosses.

Got this bug and I don't have a Saved game to go back to. So I lost all my Sentinel gear all my jewelry, runes, everything.



This was my second playthrough, and the bug didn't appear during my previous game, so I was sucked into a false sense of security in believing I didn't need to save...Lesson learned. But with a bug this bad I'm going to have to step away from the game for a while, my gaming spirit is crushed.



I'll be in the corner sobbing uncontrollably...

Well, I lost all of my gear to the bug. The game came to a screeching halt of anger and frustration. I'm probably done playing; Bioware won't ever fix it, they already have my money.

Let me guess - your mage is an Arcane Warrior right? It happens because test subject4 that's supposed to have your gear is not spec'd as an Arcane Warrior but rather as a mage. Of course, regular mages cannot wear heavy armour or wield heavy melee weapons and so these items do not get transferred.

The workaround for this is to strip off all your gear and put it into your inventory. Then you play through the Silverite mines as a naked mage (which really isn't all that difficult) til you get to the box with all your gear.

Seriously, wtf!?  And by the time you get to the end of the dungeon and realize it, the autosaves have past the point.  What a bunch of crap, I just lost everything on my female warrior.

I noticed the only thing she had on upon waking in the cell was the Key to the City.  I guess I should have suspected something then, but I just assumed such blatant bugs would be fixed after four months.

Well, this just happened to me last night too.

Seriously! Four months and this hasnt been fixed?!!?! Are you kidding me?!

I am married with kids and my time is little when it comes to PC gaming. So when I lose 10-15 hours of play time. That means a lot.



I've been on the fence about buying Mass Effect 2 knowing how long that game is and how little time I can spare.. Well this issue just made up my mind on what NOT to play.

First time I tried to play this expansion I imported one of my Origins characters. Got the bug.



Playing now with an Orlesian Arcane Warrior and had no problems at all in the Silverite Mine. Also seems to be way less other bugs (though the smuggling side quest is completely borked). Game also seems to be crashing less. Maybe I'll actually finish the sucker this time...

I play on PC and have patched up to 1.04. I still got this bug with my DW Rogue.

I knew I got hit by the bug as soon as I woke up in the cell naked whereas my companions all had clothes on. So, I reloaded from a save that I made just before entering the Silverite Mine and stripped everything off my main character.

She fought with whatever gear there was to be had and made it all the way to the merchant. All of her gear was in the box and everything was hunky-dorry after that!

So now I learned about this as well.. 60 hours on Dragon Age: Origins and 7 hours into Awakening and my character really had nice equipment and it's all gone. I guess it will be more of a challenge using sub-par gear now though

About the only substantial item the 1.04 patch fixed was the attribute bonuses for daggers and bows - something that had been fixed on the PC long ago but a fix finally made it to the consoles. I guess that's why Bioware released this patch to the PC users first (ack!)

Seriously, though, this is one of a great many bugs with the expansion that literally breaks the content that the expansion pack offers. It is crippled by day-one bugs and Bioware remains silent on the issue. Five months after being released, the expansion remains unplayable due to the unacceptable number of game-breaking bugs. If the developer made a more visible effort to address these bugs I'd hold out hope, but due to their inability to step up, I think we can expect more of the same with DA2.

After experiencing the frustration of this bug (one of the nastier ones in the expansion) you wouldn't get in line to pay money and get screwed again, would you?

I imported my mage under 1.04 and the bug hit me. Blood mage/spirit healer. The only imported gear I had on was the lifegiver ring.

I had to strip naked before going in to the mine. If I didn't, no experimental subject and no gear in the chest.
At least I got all my stuff back in the chest.

May all your dreams and equipment come true.

Hope this has not been posted. Just type in the above runscript and hit enter you will be transported to a warehouse full of equipment, runes, supplies, etc. Normal and magical weapons and armor are included in this warehouse.
Make sure you know how to enable the cheat mode for runscripts. Very simple to use.
please let me know if this is a better solution than restarting 3 hours before the bug.

Just when I had given up all hope after reading the 4 pages on this thread of folks in the same boat as me (60+ hours of game time and all items for my Main lost with no saves before the Silverite Mines) you come along and save the day. I was positive I was going to quit rather than restart Awakenings. You have saved Bioware from losing this customer. Thank god for cheats. Though in that case I don't think I'm cheating. Just getting my stuff back.

This bug really is aggravating.The runscript zz_fab cheat is in my book the best fix for this problem.

i just had this problem happen with my sentinel armour sorry cant remember the name i dont play awakening much anymore kind of dissapointed with it unfortunatley i deleted prior saves before hand i also installed the latest patch awhile ago  any suggestions

Helm of Honnleath--gone. Fade armor set from awakening (not imported)--gone. Spellward---gome. Arcane mage sword--gone. high end Staff---gone.



No subject, no chest. Mind you, I just moved on, equipping the Hirol set, had master Wade make me a new sword, and equipped Illumination and the Landsmeet shield. Still very viable, and well able to complet eht game.



It should be noted that this character also had the naked import problem, back when I started. I was fighting darkspawn with only my Helm Of Honnleath and a smile: the next patch fixed things right up. This will get resolved, never fear.
