near the beginning of the game, you have to choose whether to focus on guarding farms, trade routes, or amaranthine. i went with the "try to guard all of them" option. what are the different outcomes for each choice?
where to station your troops?

Good question. I think I heard someone say that if you gaurd the trade routes you get better gear in the merchants, but thats a stretch.

Guarding everywhere still had the merchants get more stock because they managed to keep the road clear.

Aside from differing cards during the epilogue, I don't recall there being any real difference between guarding the farms, city, or the roads. I'm sure there are probably some minor things that happen if you do indeed choose one over the others, or protect them all, but I haven't noticed anything of the sort.

The epilogue cards matter as much as anything, what do they say?
Mine said the farmers where grateful because things could have been worse and they came to rely upon the Wardens for protection. The city, regardless, if saved is repaired good as new.

This is rather vague and not exact, but the one where you protect the farms states that while many were destroyed the farmers looked up to and respected the Wardens. Or something along those lines.

there's an estate that you can travel to as soon as world map option is available. if you choose to "protect all" the family is dead when you arrive. i wonder if that's different if you choose to protect farmers?

As pointed I don't think the choice have any "real" impact until the epilogue.

I choose to protect all, it seems if you fully upgrade your guards then protecting everything actually works out. My slides mentioned trade going so well that the Keep actually became as big a trade center as Amaranthine, and it mentioned farmers being happy because the fields weren't as badly damaged as they could have been.
