I don't have a new video yet, but I do have a blog entry outlining all of my build plans and goals, so hopefully that will clear a few things up if people have moved on ahead of me.

Nice blog. I just go for massive/best plate possible 'cause I'm the tank anyway!

Check his stats at end Origins: Sweet hit rate and contribution! (link to social bioware char stats page. Browsing there the same char in Awakening is viewable too. Level 33 atm with an awesome black plate! I love black plates! =)

I've actually been using your character and a couple other 2h's as a reference ever since your first post , so I definitely recommend people check your character out. I'm curious, do you have sten spec'd as a dex tank or as a damage dealer?

 Honnleath:

Entering the town, Sten Tanking, Descending into the Cellar

For this section, I recommend not rushing it. At a couple parts it is very easy to let your party get swarmed. Set your units on hold, advance and then lure them back to your ranged units with your tank out in front.

once and for all

MASSIVE ARMOR [chest mainly] IS NOT good for 2handers. 2Handers are all about actively using their skills meaning you can not have too big fatigue. Have offpieces massive if ya want, but for chest ur better with leather "empires shadow" for example

That's so wrong, imho! Out of my 100 DA movies, some 90 are for my favourite char, my Two Hander. In early game yes, massive is way wrong. But as soon as you're strong enough, as a two hander should be focused, and you start finding some nice armor sets with bonus to reduced fatigue, cheaper talents cost and % critical damage (like Warden Commander's Plate & set)  and my favourite when running with no DLC items , Legion of The Dead, with cool bonus to willpower, attack, constitution and damage.

Oh, and I've played with some parties with no mages, others full melee, others with no alistair/shale or any tank whatsoever but my 2 hander and one or both of the other 2 Hander NPC's and he kick some serious azz!

If you want some serious damage, just use some sustained combos. Zerk, Rally, Precise Strike and Powerful swings and see your 2Hander hitting massive critical hits sequences for amazing damage!

 Honnleath (Getting Shale) Part 2
Descending the Cellar and meeting "Kitty"

Now I didn't do the puzzle for reasons stated in the video, but you can find solutions to it here on the forums and/or gamefaqs. If you want to see more or less of Shale let me know.

Here's a link to my blog entry on tanking:  http://averagegatsby...tank-build.html

Wow, thanks to both of you!

I always make Sten a Beserker with focus on STR. It seems more adequate for his race/role. =)

Great! Just finished tanking my Nightmare Dalish Warewolf quest with my 2Hander with amazing success. Surprisingly, AW Morrigan was the shining star out-offtanking poor 2H Sten.

 New Video

Circle Tower:
First Floor, Summoning Sciences, Shale Tanking

I'm going to eventually do a written write up of exactly how I'm going to spec Shale, but the video does have some good early tips if you are using her like how I tank. Early game, Shale is probably the best tank you have, and coupled with Wynne's healing, is able to fight off almost anything.

 Circle Tower:

Easter Egg, Second Floor, Anti-Mage, Which Passive to Use

Moving on up through the tower, these first few fights are pretty simply but soon much more challenging fights will come into play.

 Circle Tower

Fighting the Revenant, Part 1 of the Third Floor

The Revenant fight is sort of a test fight for some harder enemies to come. If you aren't using you're party properly it could be difficult, but if everyone is in the right position he should go down easily. Sometimes its better to take manual control of your healer.

That's eerily similar to how I've recommended killing the revenant... I think I even used Shale. And got lots of "whose shall" comments on my video. One thing, though, I'm pretty sure you don't actually get any benefit from flanking vs revenants. You can't backstab them unless they're paralyzed, which seems to indicate they have the s&s talent that makes you immune to flanking attacks.

This has been up for a couple of days but I forgot to repost here:

The Desire Demon Fight, Getting Yusairs

Sten would be an excellent tank at this part should he have had indomitable on. The biggest threat is your tank freezing or getting knocked down when wynne has no healing available, so she/he can't use a poutice.

Great video as usual. I'm eager to see how you handle some of the fights in Orzammar. Lord knows I need some tips, I always get clobbered down there. :P
