Theoretically it is your 'canon' to have changed your face during the Lazarus Project if you had done so. However all your old squadmates still recognize you no matter how different you look.

So does Shepard release pheromones that let everyone instantly recognize him or is he just that cool?

Mannerisms, movement style, all this would be the same.



I figure that's how the recognise you wearing a helmet.

Shepard is "exactly the way he was before", they just assume no face change... kinda like how my former infiltrator shep how has biotic powers yet is still "exactly the same"
