"Our numbers are endless, we are as wast as the universe it self,"

Strange that none in ME galaxy know of the Subspace, that would be the ultimate prison for something that is from our universe

To get a minimum figure you could say that the oldest known Reaper tech is 37 million years old so if you divide that number by 50,000 then you get 740 Reapers at the very least.

How many where created before that time who knows?.

That only works if during each cycle they just build one reaper.  But dude the galaxy is effin big.  They probably made thousands if not hundreds of reapers each cycle.  He says they are Legion. 750 isnt legiony numbers.

Big bang theory...(best available measurements in 2009 suggest that the initial conditions occurred around 13.3 to 13.9 billion years ago[3][4])

So let's say 13 billion years ago, that would make up to 260,000 reapears - if they produce one every 50,000 years. But that is assuming they came from the first life forms ever, and that's also assuming that the universe has formed by that time. Best guess, probably around 200,000.

Another thing however... Reapers arent living in the milky way. So maybe they harvest other galaxies too... and there are currently a good number around. So... maybe even 1,000,000 reapers...

Heck no idea...

That was another thing I was thinking about.  What if they travel the universe nuking other galaxies.  Then they'd have like a ton of reapers by then.

There are 1.5 quadrillion Reapers.

Better hope Garrus can calibrate the guns.

I'm thinking(and kinda hoping) ME3 will start with a bang. Meaning it will begin with the Reaper invasion.

My question is how will they get here? Unless someone actually activates the citadel how could they arrive?

Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain..we can be like they are

It had been said (in ME1) there are thousands of Reapers... They're a damn invasion fleet.
I can't wait to fight them :bandit:

Since each Reaper is supposed to be a "nation", I think we will have to make them kill themselves.

The reaper genocide cycle has repeated itself countless times already, so there is no way to know for sure how many still reside in dark space. Because Sovereign was such a bother in the first game, Shepard must mobilize all species in order to survive the reaper assault. Remember, the Alliance fleet only lost 8 ships during the assault on Sovereign. That's still a lot of casualties, but I reckon the Alliance still has many more ships left. When you consider that all the other species have a sizeable fleet of war ships as well (except for the Volus I presume, as they pay other species to protect them militarily), I'm positive the reaper threat can be beaten if the races work together.

@FenixFire
I agree with you, but there are some problems to solve between species. The matter must be forgotten or solved for:
Salarians+Turians for the Geno****e against Krogan nation

Humans and Batarians (Batarians are the biggest and most stubborn problem).
Quarians and Geth (morning war as the Legion named it).
Otherwise there is no possibility to "Unite" every species in the galaxy. I'm just wondering how those matters will be explained between those species. I mark my bet on the "joint" meeting of all species goverments and geth representant on the Citadel (unless the Reapers attack it) or the Earth.

Upon retrospect, I'm starting to think Sovereign actually had a really hard time remembering, and went for what sounded the most ominous.

"...Was it hundreds? No, they won't be scared of that. Should at least say a thousand...is it? WAIT I GOT IT!"

Assuming the first Reaper is 37 millions years old, we can't know their "reproduction" rate, since they are machines, and we don't know what they require, we don't even know why they destroy everything every time a race is quite developped.

Second, we have no way to know the length of a "cycle", fifty thousands years ago, Reapers destroyed Protheans, that doesn't mean each cycle have the same period.

Third, there were a lot of Protheans, and they had a more advanced technology than we have (they were even able to build a cosmo relay), still they were "reaped", so even an alliance with all the races would not be enough if they were to come.

I think the most safety is to keep them trapped wherever they are, especially when only one Reaper is so hard to kill.

However I don't think we can believe in each words Sovereign said, since he is an ennemy, he may have lied, in order to terrify Sheppard...

i'd say there would be around 100 million reapers to make it more dramatic

I think Sovereign may have been exaggerating... maybe. My theory is that they'd be able to maximize what numbers they had when they obtained absolute control of the relays. They could vastly overwhelm any force then, because the attack would be unexpected theoretically - so they might as well be infinite. Could you imagine an alliance patrol fighting even a dozen reapers? How about several thousand, or hundreds?
