Express your dislike of oghren here.

I hate oghren. He was by far the worst companion, if not worst NPC overall in origins. Why put him in awakening.

Not only does oghren promote the delinquency of minors by encouraging the consumption of alcoholic beverages, he is gross and boring and ugly.

Wouldn't everyone have much rather had Dog return? Dog was awesome, and he requires no voicework.

Or, what about sandal or ruck?? Seriously, Sandal companion would have given the awakening team legendary status and lifted the reviews from 8's to the 9's easily.

Because he got the least screen time in Origins since most people got him last (except Secret Companion). Also, he was the only one that couldn't die or leave (I think). Now stop whining. Oghren is the returning companion and you can't do anything about it. Deal with it.

If you hate him tell him "No" when he says he wants to be a GW. After a couple attempts at playing and getting really sick and tired of his deadbeat dad, alcoholic BS I told him no. Have never regretted it. As a tank he sucks majorly (my DPS warrior does better). Plus he turned the Joining into a stupid joke.



At least in Origins he was funny. In Awakening he was just stupid.

You guys are gonna sit there and tell me oghren was better than morrigan, alistair, or leliana? Even the dog was cooler than oghren. He's a disgrace to all dwarves, I mean, he can't even hold his liquor and always acts drunk and retarded.


Bioware, heres a thought, why don't you save some money on voice work and just give us the dog next time. That will increase your profits and appeal to the animal lovers out there.

Oghren had his funny moments in Origins, but in Awakening he's just disgusting. But, on the bright side, since he can die in Awakening, it's quite likely we won't see him ever again.

I liked his character in Origins, and he is even better in Awakening. He is also a strong fighter, so I welcome him in my party.

Oghren was funny at times, but beyond comic relief he was nothing else to me.

I like him alot, in my refining run of DAO hes been in the party most the time since I got him, there is better chars but he fun to have along with the girls.

Oghren is a badly written cartoon stereotype that gives dwarves a bad name. Anybody else from DA:O would have been a better choice than him. Hell, my Dog has a better personality!

You can argue wether or not this thread is flame bait, but the person that bites and start flaming back is just as guilty and childish as the original troll. And this thread isn't trolling; trolling would be posting "I hate Ogrhen" in a "I love Ogren thread".

Anyway; my biggest problem with Ogren in Awakening isn't the annoying "I'm a one dimensional dwarven stereotype, hur hur" (amusing because even though Ogren is the stereotype, BioWare managed to avoid it for pretty much all the other dwarves) that is Ogren per see; it's whatever genius decided on the line "the return of an old favorite".
You know what happens when the marketing lines are ambiguous? The fans start imagining things like "oh, I'll bet it's Leliana, I loved her in Origins", or "Sten! Yes, who doesn't love the stoic awesomness that is our pet-Qunari!"; only to get their hopes crushed when it's revealed to be Ogren. If BioWare had said from the beginning the dwarf is coming back, there would have been far less fan-rage, I think.

Sometimes it is better to log off if you have nothing constructive to say rather than complain. That is what I stated and I stand by that.

Another thing I was defending the writers and how they would respond to your complaints and there is a difference between constuctive criticism and just out right whining, which is what some people spend most their time doing in the forum.
