I always go with the default male look when playing a male character. I simply can't play as anyone else with that voice, it just feels weird. For female Shep, I always make custom models. Although, if femShep actually had a defined model, I would probably go with it.

I am so used to my custom male Shepard I can't play with any other without getting the feeling something is wrong. I even had to reinstall ME 2 after 10min just because I installed it on German and it felt so strange with a new voice that i couldn't play the game any longer (although I speak German, I played ME 1 in English).



But I always customize characters. It gives the game a personal touch.

Custom female - default FemShep looks decent, but decent doesn't quite cut it .



I only play FemShep, but for the few male Shepards I briefly tried, I made a slightly more brutish looking guy than the pretty-boy default.

I use the custom male and female Shepards for my primary playthroughs. I use the default Shepard for my complete Renegade, make all the wrong choices (letting most of the crew die), playthrough.

Your femShep looks like a hotter, more pissed off, but less "evil" version of mine. But other than that they are identical.

Every male Shepard I've ever made looks asian, which would be okay, but they're supposed to be hispanic and they all look asian!!!! We should have gottent to use Sheploo's eyes for custom male Shepards, also, Femshep's don't get Miranda's hair??
