 Oghren :
- Faction from DAO not imported. Bug or not ? Why ?
- Diminishing return from gifts of DAO is imported. So you get only +6 from each Awakening Oghren gift and +1 from other gifts. Almost impossible to finish is personal quest because of missing approval points.

Sigrun : 
- sometimes you can get +100 approval when you get her in group. She will stay neutral and it was impossible for me to do her companion quest.
- if you don't get the +100 bug you can only start her companion quest if you don't start the "law and order" or "Smuggler" quests in Amaranthine.
- Second part of his companion quest can be miss : Misha only react if you walk on her, near is not enough.

Velanna :
- sometimes you can get +100 approval when you get her in group. She will stay neutral and it was impossible for me to do her companion quest.

Justice :
- sometimes you can get +100 approval when you get him in group. As his companion quest start immediately after your retour to Vigil Keep, i manage to get him from 100 neutral to 100 in love by doing his companion quest.

Approval rankings :
- All npc with 90+ approval are in love with me. They start neutral, then warm and finaly love...

Things to try :
- Don't recruit Oghren then recruit other NPC to test the +100 approval bug
- Recruit  Oghren but don't get him in group then recruit other npc to test the +100 approval bug
- Put all the plot gift for npc in the strong box in Vigil's Keep before trying ti recruit them.


On my 3 playthrough, i never was able to get Oghren faction high enough to finish his companion quest, i got the +100 Justice bug everytime, and Sigrun and Velanna +100 bug only one time. 
And i really don't know why...

I had the same thing happen, usually on giving a gift--Velanna, Sigrun and Justice all immediately went to 100% approval. Anders and Nathaniel were normal, and their approval went up with gifts, as usual.



Very frustrating, actually. I had all these gifts and no reason to give them. I finally gave almost all of them to Oghren trying to get his personal quest, but it never worked.

Only happened with Justice for me so far, Oghren also has very low approval despite all the ale's i've been throwing his way..



Velanna worked fine, haven't recruited Sigrun yet.

Yes that is the deal with Oghren the bets i can is get him 67. I even got +4 when he talk about is rash. look every wear two time and sill cannot do better that 67.

With Oghren part of the issue is that though they reset his approval to 50, they took away the ability to get +10 approval from his favorite items. I might end up playing as an Orlesian just to get his personal quest, which is pretty ridiculous...

Aye, I can't get around the Justice approval bug. I haven't given him any presents, though I do have presents for him in my inventory (obviously, as I went to the blackmarsh last). I can chose any conversation option I like, he still goes to 100 approval and doesn't get any bonus of it.



I really love bugged RPGs. I want to be able to explore the world on my own, as the term ROLE playing game suggests. I don't want to look at Wikis all the time just so I can play the game because of all the bugs in it that keep me from finding/completing quests.



This now means: I can't get Oghren's quest because I am not able to get his approval high enough, any way I try. I won't be able to get Justice's quest because his approval is bugged on the first talk. I won't be able to get Sigrun's quest because I completed Law and Order first. And I must say, it's so hard to run into this quest before you run into Sigrun...

So far, on my first playthrough, I've got the Justice and Sigrun +100 bugs.. can't remember of it happening to Velanna too.. and as I can read this has an impact on the side quests.. that's annoying -.- really.. testing on this hasn't been done? or they just did it with the Orlesian and not with the imports?

Oghren seems very touchy (specially since he was friendly once with my import character) probably won't see his side quest since I'm finishing up the last main quest. approval at 60ish



Have been able to see Justice personal quest of talking with the wife of the deceased Grey warden.

Maybe it is deliberate, maybe not. But I gain and lose approval with people who are not currently in my party! Fortunately so far they have been gains and losses of +/- 1, but still annoying.

Yes I've noticed that too.. still I'm far more concerned about the +100 approval bug.. it's really having a serious impact on my playthrough since I NEVER leave something behind, and with this bug I am forced to, and not for my choice.

I too have the +100 approval bug with Sigrun; a fix would be really nice, I want to actually be able to do her quest and such.

I have the same bug with Justice as some of you got, but to hell with all the gifts for him, i want my good leadership bonus, that i dont get when he is at a 100 from the beginning, its alot of points to str. that we dont get.. sad.. realy sad..

I think i found out something that might help with this bug.....

I got Sigrums approval correctly when I completed "Last Of the Legion" Quest with her default armor and weapons. Might help with Justice, too.

Tried that and it didn't work. I've reloaded just before the end of the "Last of the Legion" quest at least a dozen times and I get the bug every time. Hope that works for others though.

Did Bioware not bug test this game at all?

No luck there; also tried giving Sigrun a gift and it gave me +100 approval. Woooo.

Just a quick rundown how I did it:



When I recruited Sigrun I told her that it was smart move to flee from battle (propably not relevant). Afterwards I didn't change ANY of her gear: not armor, not weapons, not rings, didn't even give her a bow. Also I didn't give her any gifts and I saved Stefan. Coated her weapons with poisons couple times, though.



Afterwards when i killed Broodmothers and told her to join Grey Wardens, I got normal +1 Approval from her and all gifts give right approval.



Of course, it's possible I just got wery lucky, but every other time when I changed her gear mid-quest i got bugged. If this doesn't help, i'm sorry if i got your hopes up .

The problem should go away if you insult the relevant character and then throw a gift his or her way. That has worked for me so far...

Though I have the same problem with Sigrun, and I haven't solved it thus far, simply because no oppertunity for insults has arrisen.



It's quite frustrating how Oghren recieves diminishing returns from gifts if you gave him gifts in origins, but starts at approval 0. It's almost impossible for me to make ti to his personal quest. I'm at 70 approval with him, so far. I guess I could just alter his approval with the toolset, but.. It's just not the same man!



Also, I recruited Sigrun to the gray wardens without asking her. I returned to the keep to gear her up properly, I don't know if this has anything to do with it.

In my save, her approval sky rocketed after I had the "book" conversation with her in the keep.



I had the same problem with Justice, but it was solved when I simply insulted him and then comforted him with a gift

Default gear didn't help with Justice, so i guess I shall try insulting......

Do let us know if it works!! Seeing how many people has this problem suddenly made my doubt if this solution did infact work, or if I just happen to be one lucky bastard! '

By the way, Edrissa, did you give Sigrun a gift after her approval had hit 100? And it gave you 100 again? Because when approval is at 100, nothing you do, that normally would have affected their approval in a possitive way will even show a number, and if at, for isntance 99 approval, and something is done that actually nets for instance 6 approval points, then only one is recieved.

So, if your saying what I think you are, then you have an entirely different bug than the rest of us, I presume atleast. Well, atleast a different one than me.

I tried to insult Velanna and then give her a giftbut she was still neutral and didn't get any skills.
