I know this is idiotic bordering on the insane but I have never used the Cerberus Customized Armor in any playthrough or at any level. Ostensibly, Shepard is adamantly refusing to join with Cerberus in any real way, I could not ever see him(or me as player) wearing what amounts to a walking billboard for the hated entity that is Cerberus.
Consistently, I always wear the casual outfit that looks like it belongs in a bad sci fi western because it has no Cerberus logos either.
I did wonder though, has anyone noticed any interactions that are affected by Clothing choice ? I surmise that the Cerberus Custom Armor is notorious and laothed by all who have had dealings with Cerberus.
I could, of course, play through wearing the armor but I am hoping that some, at least, will have explored this facet and thus save me the tedium of yet another playthrough.
I am fairly confident that this facet isn't in the game but not 100% certain. I also must tell you that playing INSANITY setting without using it is much harder - but some principles should be maintained.

Which is particularly awkward on Freedom's Progress if you're wearing the Collector Armor.

clothing doesn't play a mechanic outside of combat (except for a few pieces that increase "negotiation" skill)

It's fun to wear DLC Armor that obscures Shepard's face (on your 2nd playthrough) during story missions.
*Walks into a room wearing Terminus Armor*
Everyone in the room: "SHEPARD!!! HOW'S IT GOIN' BUDDY?!"
I mean, if Shepard had a unique stride or anything then it would at least make some sense.

Tali: Shepard, why are you working for Cerberus!?
Shep: I'm not working for them, I just want to find the missing colonists.
Tali: You're wearing their armor and carrying a Cerberus model shotgun
Shep: I JUS' USE 'DEM FER DA BONUZES GEEZ!!!
^ Needs more of these conversations!

Everyone somehow recognizing Shepard kind of gets... weird. Particularly on the first planet you visit when a certain someone recognizes you before you say a word, even if you're wearing, say, Blood Dragon/ Collector armor. After two years.
That said there is so much terrible fridge logic in this game it's not worth worrying about.
