As I said before:

I think the story of Mass Effect 3 will be much more serious if there
were several discussions focused on policy space, and diplomacy. Perhaps
a kind of galactic Senate (Council, Alliance). The game could display a
scene with the impressive political speaking and debating matters
related to stability in the galaxy. Would be nice if the actual Shepard
made a speech at a Chamber of politicians.

To date, Mass Effect is being developed brilliantly, but on the
political aspect in the plot, ME 3 could put more complexity - humanity
by claiming their rights, after several human colonies disappeared,
humans have had heavy losses in ME 2. Movement Terra Nova, the Quarians,
the Hanars, the Volus, etc. This can be discussed in the Chamber of
politicians.

What can be done to the fans feel, in Mass Effect 3, a political situation even more serious? Sometimes, I think the Council very cold and dead, the policy seems to pale in Mass Effect.

What do you think ?????

Tera Firma! This needs to be brought back from the first game if they were to do something like what your suggesting. I mean yes some people don't like politics of any sorts, but still its an interesting idea and that game decision should be brought back if you decided yes or no to support them.

I think its a given we will see more development on the diplomacy side but I dont think we will see the council in it I think it will be more the geth the quarians people the rachni and others coming to shepard

I do feel that part of the end of 3 will be to wipe away the old governments in the game and maybe have a council with all races on and elected boss sort of like the star wars senate is before the empire

I doubt there will be much political intrigue in ME3. People will say it's too boring.

Steal everything from B5.  Problem solved.
