My bet is on Samara if your shepard is a renegade. Paragon shepard? None

It's gotta be Tali, if only because it would be hilarious to see all of the Tali cultists heads explode.

Shepard and 12 squadmate 1 traitor, _____???????

Mr. Moreau, I have successfully identified the traitorous crew member from the Reaper homeworld. The traitor and several hostiles are now attempting to breach the Normandy. Please proceed to the port-side airlock to dispose of them before my shields are permanently compromised.

Never mind a traitor... Shepard needs an Oddball :D

And if there has to be a traitor... oh, I'll put five bucks on... Legion. Miranda seems too obvious despite my distrust of her, and everyone seems to love the toaster with a rifle, sooooo...

+1 Suspicious Jaboc is suspiciously suspicious; he doesn't talk much either. I vote Jacob for traitor.

Well it seems like that would be a major plot point and I don't see that going to somone who may not be in someones game.
So that leaves two people in anyones game. The one that meets you on Horizen gives you a royal dress down just for the fact you died and now have a "C" on your underoos (You can tell me Cerberus dosent issue standered branded underwear, you just can't) and your little crazy blue friend.
But hmm Miri is really hard to kill.....

Jacob is the traitor.

Luckily, the seeker swarm took care of him. Three times.

Actually guys, I'm fairly certain that it's Aribeth who will betray you.

Nope, it's Bastilla

Aribeth = Bastila = Miranda?
I'm sensing a pattern here and we may have a winner.
No, seriosly, Miranda is Bastila 2.0 and we all know that Bastila is Aribeth IN SPACE.

Thane Krios, perhaps.  B)

It's obviously Legion. I figure he's actually one of the geth 'heretics' working for the Reapers and his assistance with the heretic station and the suicide mission were actually part of an elaborate rouse to earn Shepard's trust. Proof? When he hacks into enemy synthetics, Legion often exclaims, "Assuming control." There's no way BioWare's writers would give a squad member the same catch phrase as the main antagonist in the game without reason... unless they're just very, very bad at their jobs, but that doesn't seem as likely. Not to mention, Legion's character class is "Geth Infiltrator".

Hell, for all we know, there could be no such thing as two geth factions. Legion may have fabricated that fact to convince Shepard to work with him. What if all geth follow the Reapers? Legion also said he was looking for Shepard for two years. Whose to say he wasn't just looking to bring Shepard's body to the Collectors like the Shadow Broker was? How do we know there was ever a virus aboard the heretic station? The only source of this information is Legion himself, who could be manipulating Shepard with false intel.

If there's a traitor, the most likely would be either Ash/Kaiden, or Miranda.

Miranda did receive an awful lot of plot-armor for the suicide mission, she's been with Cerberus for a long time, and she still has to watch out for her sister, who the game stresses is under Cerberus protection thanks to her.

And that´s why she allows Shepard to destroy the base? She would have acted against him if she really were a traitor.

I'm not saying she's a traitor yet.

But it did seem kinda... odd to me that she so easily dropped Cerberus. Just seemed like she wasn't being rational. I can see her folding once TIM starts tightening the screws; when he starts talking about removing her sister's protection.

I'm not saying she'll be all evil about it, but I can see TIM telling her that they just want the Normandy back, they don't intend on hurting any of the crew members, that it's Cerberus property, EDI is based on Reaper technology and it's important for humanity for Cerberus to get her back, etc. etc.

I'm thinking it has to be someone with roots.

Garrus - Roots to C-sec and Omega, but both seemingly cut. No family mentioned.
Grunt - No roots besides Clan Urdnot. If Wrex is in charge of Urdnot, less likely to be exploited.
Jack - Still has an unknown past. Parents? Siblings?
Jacob - Father is in jail or dead, mother? siblings? No mention.
Legion - Roots to Geth, chaotic neutral so not sure if he's loyalty to anyone at all.
Miranda - Reliance on Cerberus to keep sister hidden.
Mordin - Family mentioned (nephew), still has ties to TSG and possibly genophage project.
Samara - Chaotic good, still might have a daughters that are imprisoned and her Oath was only for Collector mission.
Morinth - Chaotic evil, highly likely to be a Judas.
Tali - Could have been exiled in ME2, has her named changed to vas Normandy, and entire family is dead. No real roots someone could exploit.
Thane - Roots to son who is either in jail or working with C-sec now, cultural loyalty to Hanar.

So, I'd categorize them as such:

High risk:
Miranda
Morinth

Moderate risk:
Garrus
Jacob
Mordin
Thane

Low risk:
Grunt
Samara

Low risk but possible surprise:
Jack
Legion
Tali

Anderson - the one ''higher up'' that supported you in ME1, and although he couldn't do much at least he meets with you in ME2 and doesn't brush off the notion of Reapers.  He's always been my fave npc outside the squadmates.  He's come across as a trustworthy 'do the right thing/fight the good fight'' kind of guy.

Yeah, Grunt won't stab Shepard in the back. Warriors like them, straight to the face.

I think Miranda or Mordin though. And Tali would definitely be a surprise.

Wait, I figured it out... the space hamster!

Maybe Liara. She's guaranteed to be alive and is in danger of being consumed by vengeance. I could see her turning on Shepard if s/he interfered with her hunt for the SB.

It'd be totally lame if it was Legion. Basically retconning the coolest plot twist in ME2 out of existence? No, thanks.

Seeing as the guy in question fails to shoot you in the head and sabotage the ship from the AI up, which also happens to be where he's located, it's kind of a moot point.

my money's on kaiden/ashley. i figure they are largely interchangeable, and one of them is garaunteed to be alive in ME3, and liara is, like, devoted to you. everyone is pretty trustworthy, except maybe jack. i dont like miranda, but i doubt she's a traitor.

The funniest outcome will be if Tali's the traitor. The Tali cult will rage and shout and...rage. Funny as hell.
