Dwarves think they fall into the sky when they reach the open world. The pants monsters aren't more stupid. It's just dwarven superstition. And besides, he wasn't drunk in that specific occasion. Well, you know what I say? Let's paint him green and call him a turnip!

See that right there is the problem with Oghren in DA:A.
IN DA:O he was an obnoxious drunk, but he was also light hearted and capable of growth. There was a certain sadness to his drunk conversations in the party camp, because you could tell he was drowning out his sorrows and lonliness with alcohol.
In DA:A he's just a drunk. Not only a drunk, but a surly drunk who gets all pissy and judgmental for the slightest reasons. Really? Bite me. That's no way to bring the character back.
