I have encountered Velanna twice now...the first time she just vanished behind some wood and the second time she wailed to leave her alone and we got attacked by Sylvans.
How do we recruit her?

go to her camp in the middle of the map she will go with you there

Sometimes I wonder why people don't just try out playing on and see what's coming.

I was there the first time i saw her...i have covered all the map of the woods. All she does is tell us to leave her alone even though i used persuasion to tell her the humans didn't kill her sister, she still is agressive.
By the way, there is a mine at the top of the map...is it worth checking it out...oh sorry to the last poster...yes why don't i just waste time and go through the whole map again....maybe i could find the key to the mine in Velanna's bra or in her plant pot.

While i'm at it i might as well dig up a few daises and offer then to Velanna as a gift...if i could get near enough to her that is. Maybe then she might want to join.
Or maybe i could shout back at her get knottted we don't want you anyway.

Well i went back the camp and this time she was a bit tearful and she agreed to join us...well she put herself in...lol and all is well.

...and that's why I am at 31 hours with the Dragon and end game to go.
