While I realise that other topics with similar intents have been posted, my topic is very differant for two reasons
A) these are MY ideas and I will endeavour to keep them concise and realistic
B) I will try to keep this topic compact and easily consumable (not 100+ pages of chaff like some topics)

so here we go...

1) More alternate costumes for ALL characters (this does not mean changes to the colour scheme)
p.s. adding black to a character skin does not neccesarily make it cooler (case in point is Mirandas' uniform)

2) Readjust heavy weapon firepower (the rocket launcher in particular needs work seeing as it is both underpowered and malfunctioning, it took a pointblank shot to hit anything and the victem still survived)
a possible solution is multiple ammo types a la Warhammer 40K
A frag version to take out clusters of enemies while a krak version for vehicles or boss monsters.

3) More environmental effects or constraints (the U.V. radiation on Haestrom certainly made gameplay interesting)
e.g. a planet with extremely high gravity or tempreture, which if the developer was feeling cruel could disable shields (power redirected to either cooling or gravity negation) or more reasonably regular recharge points or safe zones to vent heat. Another heat concern would be ammo, its already searing; it would only take a little push to overheat the guns

4) Time delayed or conversation triggered loyalty missions (I found it surprising that three seconds after I recruited Thane, that he was spilling his greatest regret and pestering me to sort it out.)
to sum it up, It would be nice if I actually had to EARN the chance for a teamates loyalty.

5) Actual consequences for being either paragon or renegade (i.e. maybe sparing that merc wasn't such a good idea or someone comes after you because you threw his mate out the 60th story window)
this is something that always bugged me about both ME1 and ME2 yet is very present even as far back as baldurs gate. A possible example is Shepard being attacked by mercenaries (and I mean serious threat, not dumb grunts) after the grieving widow/widower of one your victems puts a hit out on you. or more positively Sheperd could walk into a shop and get a discount because you saved the owners life/friend/dog etc. whereas a renegade would be barred from the store.

6) no more blindingly obvious character deaths please (I wont say anymore for spoiler reasons but I'm sure everyone knows what I'm talking about) I want a situation akin to the Urdnot conversation, where helping him out for little obvious benefit paid dividends later (or simply talking him down), or even the slightly heartbreaking choice of wether to save Ashley or kaidan.

This topic will be updated with ideas as I think of them.
