Has anybody else had their 360 freeze on startup? It shows the Xbox globe and then freezes, lines show up on the screen and it makes a loud beep. No red rings show up.

If it's under warranty and extended warranty (three years from purchase date) call up microsoft for a repair.
I don't think extended warranty covers screen freezes, wait till it red rings then call up microsoft. Message me if you have any warranty questions, im going through the same deal right now (well not for long my xbox is due back soon).

Yea now when I turn it on nothing happens for awhile. Its just like if I turned it on without plugging the cords into the tv. Now a bunch of little squares are on the screen in lots of different colors but, no red rings.

My neighbor's 360 had this problem right before his console ROD'd. You're definitely going to want to check that out.

Called them, couldn't get a real person on the phone. Then I emailed them and I got an automated responce back. Im not giving them 100 bucks to fix something that is there fault! Is there anyway I can get them to do it gratis?

Yes calling them can be a pain, um beyond this their is'nt much you can do. If your sure it is under waranty and they made a mistake your going to have to dispute that.
There is'nt much credible info I can find on that issue, frankly im not even sure if the warranty covers it. What you can try doing is starting it up without the harddrive attached then later put it back on. As far as manually fixing it goes if you open up the insides of the console all waraties will be declared void, im sorry but you might just have to fork up the $100. Sorry man.
Can I ask how long you have had it?

I bought my original console in 05 but that one red ringed. Ive checked and my warranty is expired. Looks like im going to have to save up the money to get it fixed. Can I open it up and still send it in if I pay $100?

I believe you will be fine because the warranty is already void, besides they won't know unless you seriously tamper with some stuff. Good luck, I hope you get your console fixed soon. Message me if you have any shipping questions. (im going throught the same thing right now, well I should get mine back monday)
