Well, I'm about 40 hrs in after 3 days...

On all RPG's, I HATE tunnel/caves levels.  Always have.

And now, I'm in those damn Dwarven tunnels (spent most of yesterday there), and my Maker, the LOAD TIMES ARE INSANE!

It literally takes minutes and minutes to load those maps.   (I happened to start loading before a commercial break (around 3 min or so?) and it still wasn't done loading when the TV program came back on!!! )

Hmm just wait til you get to the final battle scenes. The load times there are atrocious compared to the dwarf ones.

in general the game has terrible load times. Hopefully it will be rectified in a future patch.

Interestingly, I'm now taking a break after finishing most of the Dwarf levels, and today (this morning, actually), the load times were much, much better.

Yesterday (when the problem got bad), I'd been playing for literally over 14 hrs, so maybe my system just needed restarted or something...?

I noticed..If I've been playing the game for over 6 hours or so at a time..the load times start to get a little longer...and a little longer..so I just save..restart the game..and it fixes it.

There seems to be a memory leak somewhere - if you play for more than 3 hours or so at one sitting, save, exit, restart your comp, and the load times will be a lot better.

Yea, thats what I've noticed..but it really only gets bad for me at 6+ hours....or in the dwarven places.

i have about 2-3 sek load times when zone. After few Hour take 1 min load zone.

I have 2 intel 160GB SSD on Areca 1231ML (hardware raid) with 2GB Cache. Must be memory leak somwhere.

Yeah, after any long amount of playing you're going to run into longer load times. As previously mentioned, just save, quit, re-open, and load. Things'll be back to normal for the next hour or so.

Most likely a memory leak, as it happens to quite a few people; even on fairly new systems.  For me, I usually have 3-5 second load times.  They'll slowly ramp up into multiple minutes.  As soon as I reload, a load that was taking 2 minutes is back down to a few seconds.

I have noticed some long load times, particularly the further I progress in the game. I think it may be somewhat area-related and somewhat data-related (as in the game has to load more stuff as you accomplish more quests). I kinda wish there were a quick-retry option for battles that didn't require reloading the area etc just because you died. Again.

Yeah I got this today I might of sat there for about 2-3 min waint for an area I just left to reload. I mean If I am able to Run Crysis on high settings then this game is no problem at all. Or Should Be lol.

I have a solid state drive as well and it pisses me off when memory leaks take away from the performance of my load times.  At least I didn't blow $1300 or so on my drives like you haha.

Memory leaks. I just restart the game when I feel the loadtimes adding up. A quick alt+f4 plus the disabled intro movies means you can go back into the game loaded and ready in like 10 seconds flat.

I'm no tech-guy, but this game works miracles even with my old machine. The flaw, however, is that it really shallows system resources, and especially RAM.

That (combined with a memory leak) makes the loading times outright painfull if you don't do a restart after a few hours. But I agree, the tunnels were pesky. Basically, Orzimmar itself was a righteous pain in the butt (loading times between every Dwarven caste-place).

There is a error with the Dwarven Levels once you gone there the load time just gets longer and longer.

Just quit the game every 1-2 hours and restart it. The load time will be fine.

yeah restart the game every couple hours. I didn't have a problem with the dwarven levels. But with doing repeated area transitions. It seems the more area transitions you do, the slower it gets. I kept looking forever for those places of power, only to find out I already touched them, but the quest log doesn't show it. but that slowed my game up considerably.

Done the game twice and the loading problem is a big issue even doh it can be fixed with a reset of the game. However it happens if you jump alot in the loading from camp or to a city overtime. This is on my computer.

for those of you with duel cores, I found that setting my affinity to one core only for the game helped my load times a huge amount. the only downside is that you have to set the affinity every time you load up the game

Yah apparently the PC copy has a memory leak.   You can watch your memory go up big time the longer you play.  When it starts to seem to take longer I just save, close out the game, and restart it.
