Well, remember...Kiann was not at 100% approval with her companions, other than Alistair and Oghren. So Zev was never really her best friend, or anything, not like he can be. 

@Sisi: I'm glad you liked the subtlety with the Zev conversation. He couldn't come right out and say anything, so I was hoping the dancing wouldn't be *too* subtle.
