I enjoyed my ME2 no doubt but doing a replay.... I really can't see it. Im not 100% sure why but I'll try to explain.
It's too linear/compartmentalised. You have very few actual mission related missions and a LOT of companion related missions. Don't get me wrong, the companion missions are a great idea but theres just too many companions and you can see it during the game,
The companion to companion interactions are really quite minimal which is sad (its liek Im being followed by two robots sometimes). Each companion has their own seperate section in the ship and they stay there. The after mission breifings are 90% the 2 companions your guaranteed to have. I miss the ME1 group discussions after a big mission. I would trade 10-12 companions for 6 that are twice as good in a heartbeat (dont chuck robo tho! he was the most interesting of the lot).
Gunplay = good. Story = good (the first 5 minutes of the game. wow) . Gear loss =i can get over it. The way everything doesn't gel together = emotionally unegaging.
All in all, congratulations on the game. It is good and a great plot lets gamers and reviewers alike forgive some flaws. I just hope next time you get the ME1+ME2 mix right.
P.S. Charging for new outfits? shame.
Good game but emotionally distant in parts.
