So am I the only one who would like to see the game remade with a graphic upgrade and ME dialogue system. I'm currently replaying through KOTOR and would happily pay 50 bucks for an updated KOTOR. I did the same for Resident Evil remake. They took a great game and made it even better. I'd love to see KOTOR get that treatment.

I don't know.. I think I'd prefer see a continuation of after the Old Republic (this time not MMO) but for the new consoles (with the Save Transport system?)

KOTOR's not that old

I'd rather see a remake of BG or Planescape: Torment

A remake of FF7 will come sooner than a remake of KOTOR

I would prefer the opposite. The wheel and interrupt system are unpredictable and make no sense to me. You could easily mistake some of the renegade actions for paragon ones, and vice versa. Even worse they can boil down to evil/good at times instead of what they were originally intended for. If they were to remake KotOR(I suppose you could think of enough things to make it that much more enjoyable), I would want it to move more towards DA:O's style than ME's.

Typically I am anti-remake but I'm almost tempted to say yes. I mean, I have KoTOR - its not going anywhere. I might lean towards the ME dialogue, just to give it a greater sense of difference from the original but I do think they need to keep the RPG elements and not make it into a Jedi Knight hack and slash.

All they should do, really, is release a patch to let me play at 1600x900 instead of 1024x768. Or at least 1280x720.

Does the (unofficial)widescreen fix not work for you?

I thank you for correcting me.

Steam version.

Apparently, I've heard this on a few sites that talk about fixes, it requires you to modify certain files that Steam isn't too happy about you messing with. It doesn't look too bad, but it'd just be nice to play it at native.

Sure, why not? As long as it doesn't Mass Effect's dialogue wheel I would be fine with it. Maybe they could restore Juhani's entire romance while they are it. Fat chance of that ever happening though, even if they did remake it.

No, KOTOR is fine that way it is. Bioware is not like SquareEnix, where they consider remaking a game just to remember their glory years, unlike SE, Bioware still makes excellent games today.

I always thought it would be cool if they remade KOTOR for the PC with an isometric view and controls like in Baldur's Gate. I think it could make the combat much more interesting(which is the only thing I didn't like about KOTOR...along with Darth Malak.)

Darth Malak is awesome, if you ask me. He makes Darth Maul look like Jar Jar Binks.

Why work on remaking the first when the time would be better used for making a third?

Why remake a game that's already excellent?

If any thing they should go back and finish KOTOR 2.

Or make KOTOR 3.

This is why and how.

Oh, and KotOR 3 is not going to be made. They had written part of the plot when it was cancelled by LA.  TOR is the only Old Republic project that is going to be made in the next 3+ years, since that's such a massive focus time and money sink of LA/Bioware.

Lol, while they're at it, they should make an HD version with Natal.

Except for you know, unlike KOTOR, Monkey Island is ancient.

I'm not saying now.  I'm saying that if LA (who produced/published MI) should ever undertake a remaking of KotOR they should do it how they treated MI.

Remake the graphics and artistic style to fit the current generation.

Am I the only person who would gladly give their first born child or something to see a FFVII remake? With FFXIII graphics and cutscenes using the Advent Children CGI like they did in Crisis Core.

*cough* Back on topic, while I wouldn't mind a KOTOR remake, I think the best direction for the game would be a non-MMO sequel. Both the remake and the non-MMO sequel are very unlikely however.

No, because we all know that the PC is Revan. Doesn't have the same WTF?!?!?! quality to it anymore.

Don't know i loved the Kotor games, especially the first one. I rather hope they will make Kotor 3 after the MMO, and in that they could use ME2 or DAO dialogue system.

Yes, while FFVII is a good game, it is by far one of the most overrated games i have ever played in my life.

I like FFVII the way it is, if they remake it and force FFVII to go down the same path as FFXIII, i will **** bricks.
