Am I the only person who would gladly give their first born child or something to see a FFVII remake? With FFXIII graphics and cutscenes using the Advent Children CGI like they did in Crisis Core.

Yes, while FFVII is a good game, it is by far one of the most overrated games i have ever played in my life.

I like FFVII the way it is, if they remake it and force FFVII to go down the same path as FFXIII, i will **** bricks.

I don't want the FFXIII battle system or anything, just the shiny graphics. I haven't personally played FFXIII but a couple of my friends say that while it's cool to watch, you aren't really involved in the battle. FFVII with updated graphics is what I want, nothing else changed. :( I liked FFVII, it may be overrated but it wasn't bad.

Obviously I'd rather have a proper sequel to KOTOR than anything, just as most of us would. But a graphical/functional update of KOTOR would be pretty dreamy.

I know some guys are working on a Baldur's Gate II mod for Dragon Age that is essentially recreating BGII with the DA toolset. Would be awesome if someone could use the toolset to do the same with KOTOR. Of course, with the difference in settings very little would translate...but I can dream, can't I?

I think my biggest problem with KOTOR on the PC is that I can't look up or down at all. Funny as that may sound. Not that I need to, obviously, the game is designed that way. But, functional or not, it just feels...so weird. I'm too used to Dragon Age, and every other game made in the last several years. The control scheme seems strange now. Which prompts me to continue my playthroughs on the xbox, but the game is so much cleaner and nicer on the PC, visually, and the mods sure don't hurt replayability.

I wouldnt mind a remake, or even better reboot to fix what damage KOTORII made. But KOTORIII would be best choice. Despite its faults KotorII had potential and story is still good.

So am I the only one who would like to see the game remade with a graphic upgrade and ME dialogue system. I'm currently replaying through KOTOR and would happily pay 50 bucks for an updated KOTOR. I did the same for Resident Evil remake. They took a great game and made it even better. I'd love to see KOTOR get that treatment.

Personally, I think TOR will be awesome!  It may be a little redundant to remake a video game, as awesome as KotOR.  I played it for the first tine after ME, so it was quite the annoying switch to a slower, older game, but once you get past it, it is very fun.  I don't think a KotOR remake is necessary, but a continuation to TOR and any following games would be awesome.  Just my two cents :P

Meh. No remakes. I'd rather see a new Star Wars trilogy, all made by Bioware this time.

Story and characters, yes. Too bad gameplay was so botched up and rushed.

Now that I think about it, If anything deserves remake it is Kotor2.

KotOR2 had a superior story and interesting, refreshing cast compared to the archetype roller coaster of the first game. Kreia will always be one of my favorite antagonists ever. It's too bad the endgame was a patchwork mess of shattered dreams and disappointment.

Id prefer a sequel. They never finished the story. Mind you with KOTOR2 they never finished the damn game, I was loving it right up until the credits then my reaction was something like "Why would credits be in the middle of a game? Wait what? This is it?"

i really just wanted a kotor 3 that told Revan's story again. i know tor promises to be kotor3-11 or whatever, but its not the same time period and thus all my favourite characters have long since died. hopefully there will be a Revan quest line.

Is there a general concensus among fans that KotOR 2 had a better story and characters, then? I personally thought the opposite; I guess there could have been a good story in KotOR 2, but it felt way too cluttered and unpolished to be very memorable to me. KotOR, even in its simplicity, felt so much more.. ICONIC, I guess.

On topic: I certainly don't think KotOR needs a remake, and I'd be much more interested in an eventual 3rd game in the series, etc, etc, what people have already said, but if one WERE ever made I'd most like to see the characters be fleshed out more. Juhani could use some fixing, development into a real romance option, instead of just hinting towards one. The second one, Bao-Dur and Visas Marr could use a LOT more development; they had great designs and concepts, but they exhausted their repertoire of dialogue way too quickly.

And I'd like the option of whether Disciple or Handmaider join you NOT be gender-restricted. Disciple was a weenie, and him and Atton fought over my chick even though she didn't like either of them :(

I wouldn't mind that last point becoming reality myself. To this day I have yet to see Handmaiden's dialogue firsthand. I just refused to play a male Exile. In any case, the consensus is usually that KotOR1 was the superior game and KotOR2 an abomination from the deepest pits of Hell. Speaking for myself, the reason I prefer KotOR2's characters and plot is because it is not iconic. It presented to the player broader ideas about the nature of Jedi and Sith and the Force without getting overly bogged down in epic heroics and a good versus evil plot.

The very reason I found KotOR less engaging is because it was so iconic. It's a great game, but the plot and characters didn't stray far from the upbeat, fight the good fight, heroics of A New Hope. When all was said and done it was Star Wars, and nothing more. KotOR2 at least tried to go further than its source material.

If it had Jolee Bindo it would have been the best game ever.

OP: God no, we don't need the gaming industry turning into Hollywood, constantly churning out remakes. We already have to deal with too many sequels.

i still like to play KOTOR and KOTOR 2, but i have difficulties to start the game in windows 7, so i would like the idea of a remake of both games (prehaps on the DAO engine). and continue the story with KOTOR3.
