I just now realized what was wrong with my account.  I registered an EA account not too long ago when the flash game came out and took a couple surveys.  This was under a gmail account.

When I went to register my DA:O account, I naturally went for that same gmail account name.  During the setup process, I attempted to sync it with my bioware forum display name.  However, it didn't seem to recognize it, even though the password was correct.  So I abandoned it and left for a day.

The next day, I tried again and everything seemed functional.  I went so far as to register my game and redeem my collectors edition codes.  However, the instant I tried to check them in game, it logged me out of this site and refused to let me back in again.  Even now, when I attempt to log in with that gmail account, it simply drops me back to the "Register an account!" page.

After writing a few angry emails, I hit on the solution: I logged in with the email that was associated with my old Bioware account, and lo and behold, there was my DLC and so on.  I suspect the problem may be that it is actually the same email address, but at hotmail instead.

Thankfully, I seem to have all of the DLC I should, and even the couple items I had from the flash game.  I guess I'm posting this in hopes it might be useful to someone else.  If all else fails, try logging on with whatever older email address you had, and see if that works.

I can confirm this. Exact same story.

gmail based EA account, bioware account with older email address.. during registration, i link the two with the screen name and it even seems to work first as it logs you in, but then whenever you try to log in with the EA account, you just get to registration page.

if you log in with the email address on the bioware account, it works and it even shows the correct gmail address as your pirmary master account.

You can't change the email of the bioware acc anymore tho, as you now have a linked master account and the system is supposed to use that. LOL. talk about being screwed.

The game can't see the DLCs either, which might be for the same reason the system does not recognize my EA account as working when i try to log in with it on the bioware site. Different email addresses.

It is not a common scenario, but i'm fairly sure theres a few people out there experiencing this same issue.

ps. If you use the remember me checkbox during login, you will have to log in again every time you navigate to a different page on the site. They should pretty much call the checkbox: Forget about me instead. :)
