I've heard this randomly spawns on one of the three maleficars in Amaranthine; any confirmation on that?  If not, where do you get it?

Also, if anyone knows the location, I'm looking for the Stormchaser boots.

supposedly they spawn from one of the maleficars but i got mine from a drop on one of the mage smugglers, they're nothing special however, they're just a gray version of apprentice robes



stormchaser boots are found on a dead templar at turnobles estate

Alright, I'm heading back to keep reloading and killing those maleficars until it drops.

Kind of irritating that the stormchaser gauntlets are tier-9 gold colored and the rest of the set is white steel. That kind of stuff just torques me off, but I guess it makes it somewhat interchangable with Venture and Wade's Clamshell Armor. The latter is a golden version of the juggernaut armor in looks, while Venture is basically gold-colored diligence armor.

Man, I have been trying for hours to get that robe to drop.  Anyone have any better ideas?  Does the difficulty setting determine anything?

I think I got the Lorekeeper's Robe during Anders' mission or that's how I remember it. I hope I'm not sending you on a goose chase.

Well, I've heard that it drops from the maleficar, the smugglers, or it can be found in the same room where you get the Lorekeeper's boots, cowl and gloves. But I've had no luck on any of it.

ive only had it drop once in all the times ive gone to amaranthine and that was when i was least expecting it (it was with my warrior pc, when i only wanted it for my mage)

Ok, confirmed that it is a low random drop similar to the robes of the gifted that the adventurer mage can drop from DAO, meaning you pretty much have to create a gave save and then be prepared to seriously grind. Any one of the 5 hired goon leaders can drop the lorekeeper's robe. Very annoying that for my mage I had to grind for nearly an hour for it 1 to drop while my rogue got it to drop not once, but TWICE on the first try!

It is a tad annoying. At least let it randomly drop in more than one place or in more than one quest.

I got the whole set in an armoire during Ander's quest. As soon as you walk into the abandoned building which supposedly contains his phylactery, it's on the right. Whether it "randomly" dropped there or not I'm not sure, but clearly it can be randomly dropped in more than one place. Ander is wearing the exact set you're searching for and I've been playing this game for 4 hours.

I believe I got the Lorekeepers gear in the Warehouse on Anders' personal quest too. Also a cool robe that improves Blood Magic. Blood Promise or something like that.

all thats in the armoire for me is the hat,gloves,and boots and blood promise robe, ive gotten lorekeepers robe twice now and both times it dropped off of a hired goon leader

Agrrrhh! I've been trying to get this robe for almost two hours now... I've killed over 100 goon leaders and nothing.. :[ I hate the idea of random drop of unique items!

to tell you the truth the robe is not worth the trouble stats are so/so, and it looks exactly like the robes you start of with as an apprentice in origins except gray

Myself Im way pastand the smuggeling. I guess I have no chance for the Lorekeeper robe? Or is there another way to get it later in the game on XBox 360?

I hadn't played this in a while. Tried today. Went back to an old save (I got lucky there was one old save from before I went to Amaranthine). Started the Law and Order quest. While chasing the suspicious character around Amaranthine, got the Lorekeeper's Robe off one of his hired goon mages.

More specifically, the mage with the last set of hired goons dropped it.
