Ok, im going to trade in my car soon so ive got to clean it up obvouisly. Its all pretty clean except on one side because of an accident.
Basicly my chef and I cleaned out the fryer oil, which we do fortnightly (as all resturants should do). We used a heavy duty barrel, which containing burning hot fat (because you can not drain fat in its solid form). The container melted and burst and fell all over the concrete pavement, luckily no one was injured as i noticed beforehand the danger about to occur so we left immediently.
Anyway some of this hot fat ended up splashing on the bottom of my car (the skirting underneth the doors). Ive managed to clean away the small bits of it however there is still a nasty black tar like stain left which i cant get rid of.
Below is what ive tried
*hot soapy water
*car wash with high pressure hose
*vinegar and hot soapy water (old kitchen trick of mine)
* Kittens carwash http://www.kittens.c...ne/gallery8.php didt work too well and i got distracted
Does anyone know of a good way to clean off fat using some sort of safe chemical without stripping the paint off my car.
