I heard that if you complete the Blackmarsh quest line, you won't be able to make other companions Gray Wardens. So I backed out of the quest AFTER defeating the Baroness but BEFORE fighting the dragon. Can I now have others participate in the joining ritual and then go back and finish off the dragon?
Appreciate any help.

the dragon is a side quest it isnt mandatory

Once you kill the Baroness you have completed the Blackmarsh quest line. The only "bug" with it is you don't have time once you complete the third major quest for doing the Joining with the companion you pick up from it. As Justice is in the body of a GW already he doesn't require the joining. So a lot of folks are doing him last and doing the Joinings on the other two companions you get from the Main quests.
