The Normandy SR-2 is twice as huge as the SR-1 but it still feels small, there needs to be more things, like every control panal thing on the deck with the galaxy map, a bigger crew quarters, the mess hall looks too small, and a gym wouldn't hurt, also it needs some stairs, like linked stairs from the hanger to the Captain's Quarters, because what if the elevator fails?

Yeah, but it could fit more, also it needs more people saluting Shepard like in ME1, also if you're going onto your ship it makes it where the ship is still docked and will only undock when you select a place to travel to on the Galaxy map.

Twenty crew members of the SR1 died, with various sources quoting "most crew surviving". So what complement did the SR1 have - Sixty? Eighty?

The SR2 is bigger, but possibly more advanced, so could be crewed by a similar number, one would assume.

Even though it was built by a civilian company, it was based on a military ship. For those of us who know the military, comfort and space don't enter into the equation.

As for the saluting, once or twice is nice, but every goddamn time is annoying (I'm looking at you Jacob Taylor). That said, at least the salute was crisp and correct, not sloppy.

Personally, I wanted to recruit the Gunnery Sergeant at the entrance to the Citadel ("We do not 'eyeball' it!")

Yeah, but it feels like the SR-2 is being ran by a skeleton crew because there aren't many people on it.

I think that the SR1 had roughly 40-45 crew members.

Joker could crawl down the ducts again? Sorry i had to say it haha :D

I don't think the ship needs to be much bigger but a bit more exploration of the interior would be cool.

For a frigate class ship the Normandy SR-2 was the perfect size. I mean, c'mon it's not built to be a frigging Terran Battle Cruiser.

Plus big ships=more to hit and less maneuverability. Not a wise choice if you plan to fight super robots with beam weapons that cut through conventional shields like a hot knife through butter.

already with the increased siz of the normandy SR-2 we see that several sacrifices like limited landfall and manuverability had to be made to increase the size of the ship. Its not supposed to be the biggest baddest ship out there, its supposed to get in and out with out making a sound

I want to actually see the point defenses light up like a christmas tree and wipe out a fighter wing in one of the cinematics.

A bar or mini afterlife like some one says before me would be most welcome thing on the normandy so you can invite all crew member including own squad or they can go there them self and have fun with others. and i thing everyone agreed when i say how nice would be if you can actually drive the normandy across the galaxy, aside with joker or joker can teach u some driving lessons it would be funny alot xd. This is omy only wish Tnx u Bioware.

I miss my SR1 tbh. I loved the size of the original normandy and was incredibly sad at the fact that the SR2 was so much bigger.

This was my 1st thought, maybe more sleeping quarters, faster elevators or stairs, A com channel so you speak with various parts of the ship from the bridge.

I was thinking the same thing. Things I'd like to see are...

-bigger mess hall
-bigger sickbay
-access to the hanger
-stairs like in the first Mass Effect
-crew quarters deck, the Normandy crew in ME2 was around 40 ppl (I counted lol) and yet the crew quarters...a.k.a. single room.....had only 24 beds......what the hell is that? lol
-have the ppl actually move, in both games the crew is always standing in the same place, walk around the ship, when it says to go talk to Miranda or Jacob actually get to go look for them cause there wandering around not just stuck in one room.
-let Shepard use a damn chair, I'd love to be able to just have Shep sit down for once.

those are just at the top of my head but there's more, anyone else think the same?

*edit*

just noticed the last post, sorry for bumping this topic :P

Don't apologise as this a cool thread but sadly the design will be locked down by now.

But it would be cool if the ship had a shooting gallery where you could undertake target practice and play around with weapons would be cool. You could pop in there at any time and choose to play solo or against your squad mates. Maybe it could serve as a game like they had in the film "The Black Hole" where all the robots played target shoot against each other.

Also a bar with an observation deck where you could look out into space with a great view of the outer hull would be brilliant.

These things won't happen though :o(
