Hey All,

I know guides in the past have mentioned using different squadmembers and loadouts for different missions, but to be honest, I've never truly found the need. I've beaten instanity with infiltrator, soldier, vanguard, and sentinel. Each time I used a single sqaud and loadout for the whole game when possbile. Obviously before I had recruited squad members I used a different squad, but when I had everybody I always used a single squad and a single skills build for every mission. I was wondering if anyone actually chages squads and or builds for various missions by choice. Persoanlly, I never found it necessary.

I run with Garrus and Miranda/Thane every time, and the only weapon I ever change is my heavy weapon.

Miranda is a staple, paired with: Vs collectors its jacob until i get samara; Vs mercs its garrus; Vs geth its zaeed (squad disruptor on a scim vg is lol pwn). This is on my main toon the vg.

All this means I generally have Garrus and Miranda with me for most of the game. I could get through any mission with any squaddie I expect (although collectors with legion and tali would likely slow me down somewhat), but these are just what I pick without thinking.

You can finish the entire game with the same exact squad for every mission. Its really just a matter of how quickly and efficiently you can accomplish that purpose since your squad wouldn't be optimal for every encounter (i.e. staying with Tali/Garrus means you have no squad powers to deal with collectors).

Personally, I always tailor my squad's composition to the mission. I never take anyone just because they are my e-buddies.

Everyone always forgets concussive shot, I have to soothe it and tell it not to worry, it'll be appreciated more when it's older...

Garrus and Tali here. You do have one power to deal with collectors, concussive shot. Once maxed it takes the average collector's barrier down in one shot.

This, I don't know why but nobody want to recongnize it as a power.  It can be very useful as well.

I pick my squad based on mid mission dialogue. For me there really isn't any other reason to pick one person over the next.

But that does mean there are times I just don't use people during the whole game.

Like I never use Thane, always bring Grunt and Zaeed to recuirt Garrus and I bring Jack on Miranda's loyalty mission, etc.

No, is always like this in my games:

After Horizon: Tali and Samara.

I pretty much leave my load-out the same other than heavy weapons. I always roll with Avenger, Mantis, Scimitar (although I go with Evicerator sometimes) and the Predator pistol.

I change my squaddies for no reason at all. Just for fun I guess.

As an Infiltrator my squadmates generally stays the same with Miranda and Samara. With each person having an area power to take off any defense type and the ability to do warp explosions there's no weak points at all.

I switch depending on the mission. When my squad  levels up, I add points to cetain powers depending on  what I want that character to do. Each has a special purpose and I give points to the skills and powers I want them to have.

But there are two members that are in my elite squad and one of them usually goes with me.

I usually play different missions with different squadmates, although I do have a something like a 'core team' of people I choose from. Those include Miranda, Garrus and Samara. Miranda and/or Garrus for the first half of the game, Samara and a specialist for the second half.

Loadout pretty much stays the same, except for Heavy Weapons.

Before getting Thane, it's Mordin - Miranda. After that, it's Thane - Miranda everywhere (for an adept, I love 2 warps users for the explosion settings). Whenever I see geths : Garrus - Miranda.

I always got the Cain with me, just in case... ^^

Always bring Garrus and Tali with me, but I switch my Sentinel's sniper rifle to a Mantis if I know I'm taking on a big enemy like the Thresher Maw and ammo is easy to find. Reload trick ftw.

Miranda + Grunt for majority of the game
Miranda + Thane, Mordin, Samara, Legion, Zaeed when I want a change

Sometimes I just randomly pick the two just for fun.

I generally stay with the same squad for most of the gameplay. I try to mix the squad with a good balance of abilities to take on anything we may encounter and avoid repetitive powers to give more balance to the squad roles. On my current Infiltrator Shep with Reave as a bonus power, my main squad is Garrus +Jack. Hardly anyone likes Jack, but I love her playstyle so far with my Infiltrrator. For missions that I know will be very heavy on a particular enemy type, I will change it up. For example, on legion's loyalty mission I take Tali and let loose all the tech powers.

Constantly changing squadmates, loadouts AND advanced training power with my adept, but perhaps I'm just that bad.

Blue Suns / Geth -- Zaeed and Miranda with Arc Projector and Energy Drain

Blood Pack / Husks -- Mordin and Jacob/Grunt with Grenade Launcher

Collectors -- Thane/Samara/Warp Ammo or Miranda/Jack/Reave with Avalanche

I mostly bring Tali and Garrus with me anywhere I go, except every now and then I take other people just to mix things up.

Concussive shot, Combat drone, hacking, Overload, Shield Drain (awesome power, almost doubles shield power)

I almost never change my skill points, and I almost always bring Miranda. My second squad member is usually Samara, however I will use Garrus against blue shields. Sometimes I will bring 2 random squad members just for variety.

I tend to take Garrus and Thane on the main quests.  I normally pick up Garrus ASAP.  I like the character and although his AI can be dumb at times if I keep tabs on him he does good.  Thane is good for his warp and throw abilities in particular.

I used Miranda early in the game before getting Thane.

I'll occasionally use other squadmates for the N7 missions, but don't see the need to take them for main quests.

This is with my vanguard.  Not sure who I'll use when I import my Infiltrator.  Probably Miranda for biotics and Grunt for combat.

My squad had Grunt as a staple, with varying other squad members. I commonly switched up Miranda, Jacob, Mordin, Garrus, Thane, and Tali.
