Not outraged at all. I spent my money on Fallout 3 DLC instead, and I'm having a good time. >.>

Did some reading around here after DA:A launched, weighed the good and the bad...and decided I'll pick up DA:A when it falls into a much lower price range.

If you are outraged, feel cheated over DA:A then do more than just post here in the forums.  Do as I did and e-mail Bioware. It will be harder for them to disreguard so many e-mails as they can with the forums.

I'm only outraged by the likes of you, who needs to come to these forums and make a big stink of things. If you need to complain about something, at least try to be constructive.

I'm not outraged, but DAO set the bar really high and DAA doesn't really come close imo.

I did like some of the new boss encounters, but with the new obscenely overpowered skills your party can pick up they're trivialized fairly quickly. In fact I actually beat every encounter in the game on my first try, no pots, in my first play through... while my first time around with DAO was rocky to say the least.

Also the storyline and party members seem really shallow. I really feel like a couple of party members in particular had amazing storyline potential that was wasted (won't go into specifics to avoid spoilers). And the cameos from old "friends" were so short it just left me feeling really disappointed.

Not worth the price tag imo, and that's really the first time i've said that about any Bioware release.

I would only email Bioware to tell them how awesome they are. I loved Awakening.

There is certainly possible to start picking at things that could have been imrpoved. The ending could have been a bit more dramatic with a little celebrations after and so on, but on the whole I enjoyed many aspects of the Awakening a lot. I definetly think it was worth it.

Outraged? You Sir are nothing but a spoiled brat, i'm sorry. Awakening is one of the best expansions i have ever played.

I AM outraged, but eh...

Less than ten hours of gameplay, barely-playable-due-to-bugs xbox360 release (I should have learned my lesson and not bought this version, I admit...  as the original port to this console was pretty useless), and bland trite content.

Releasing something like this at this price and in this state of development (this barely qualifies as beta condition, given the state of bugginess) suggests they have no intention of making another version.  It was a clear attempt to use up the last vestige of customer loyalty for a few more dollars.

I miss the good old days when Bioware stood for something good (you know, back when Lucasarts did, too, I guess).

On the flip side, given it didn't take but a day to finish, I was able to return it.  Thanks for that, I guess!

My god, man...  You need to play more expansions...  I mean, almost every Elder Scroll series had solid expansions...  And these don't hold a candle to Diablo, Warcraft 2, any MMO, and even Fallout 3...  Calling someone a spoiled brat when you're basically trolling in mindless support is so beautifully ironic.

The fact that it hasn't been out a week and everyone's debating whether it met the grade is a telling sign.  If you're fine paying (or having someone else pay, perhaps) $40 for a day's worth of mediocre content, great.  Everyone has their standards.  To assume that someone else is "spoiled" for expecting more reflects more on your own lack of perspective than on our overblown expectations.

Nope I'm not...I was a bit "concerned" about the Ultimate Sacrifice ending..and lack of continuity....but seeing as they chose not to respond to our 40 page thread for 19 days...I gather things like that are not any kind of important to them.

And spamming them with e-mails..will just get you ignored or worse.    Far as I can tell.

Its a game expansion, yes they could have fleshed it out more,  no they probably didn't have the time, or budget to do that.....so it is what it is.

I've encountered a couple or three bugs, but  being that I have been playing games online for.. hmm..many years now,  I have YET to see a game that doesn't have a few bugs.   And I have yet to see a game that patches those bugs, and doesn't create new ones. :P

So...par for the course.

I admit the bugs I encountered were more than "average", though I assume that like the original the Xbox 360 version was worse.  Autosave stopped working after the first dungeon, party damage stats don't work, many of the quests I started randomly glitched as npcs wouldn't interact, and I had multiple times where story npcs were too close to fights and thus went into the fray and got themselves killed.

I'm a little disappointed that I paid $50 for it...
I know it was an expansion, but the ending wasn't really enough.
And it was so glitchy. I had to keep restarting battles because darkspawn would stop moving and not be killable, and it kept freezing.
The game was okay, at best. I was hoping it would be more similar to DA:O.

You payed $50 lol, shafted m8

Im just about to go and pick it up for £15 at game.co.uk. And its £20 if you just go and get the disk from any shop on the high street. Do you guys really have to pay $50? lol

Having said that I would probally still pay that just as Im a fan of DA. Im just gonna have to complete it again before DA:A arrives in the post.

Oh and PS what the hell is the OP outraged about? I take it you didn't enjoy this game at all? I take it you didn't finish it? Games are just games, enjoy them or don't. Whats to be "outraged" about? If you don't like what they have done so far stop buying the stuff. If you feel you can do better feel free to get a team together and build a new campaign for us so some ungrateful gits can be outraged that you bothered making some new content for a game.

seriously if you dont like awakenings fair enough, but your not even giving constructive critism, which i'm sure BioWare wouldnt mind, actuly they would probbly like have some constructive critism. But your not, your trolling, and the fourms are getting spammed with people trolling about this and that, its getting a little boring and unasary now. But if you belive you have to troll about things then go do it on an already exsisting trolling thread and not make new ones. peace out

I will agree that being constructive is better than trying to start fires or say things to get a reaction. Like or dislike, that is your choice and no one has a right to tell you otherwise. The problem, however, is the lack of a why? I know some people find a thrill in trolling, but really it gets old.

While I do think that Awakening was an excellent product and enjoyable on some levels I do feel put off/out in the cold given certain changes. But I am not outraged over it. There is no game without flaw or room for improvement.

I felt the game lacked the emotional highs of it's predecessor. I had to put the game away several hours in because I was having trouble connecting. My Grey Warden no longer felt like my own, she felt like a heartless killing machine that couldn't forge emotional ties.

I do wish they hadn't changed out the cast. While Justice and Sigrun had me at hello the other two I merely tolerated (Anders felt like a sillier Alistair whom happened to be an Apostate and the Elf is like Morrigan if you made her out of 200% obnoxious git). They just lacked for me.

Mine was about 10 hours and I did almost every quest except for Ogrhen's mission, Sigrun's loyatly mission and Velanna's.  Plus I was going through a few fetch quests and quit midway to most of the way through because it just felt like grinding to me.

Also I'm on a console and DA seems to be a little bit.. quicker

Or, instead you could tell BW why you disliked DA:A and how, in your opinion, they could work to make the next expansion better.  Back it up with your own play experiences and offer alternative solutions and you might get yourself heard.

I thought DA:A was a decent expansion.  Only 2 minor bugs on the PC for me and I'm currently enjoying my second playthrough as an Orlesian Warden.  It has it's good and bad, but e-raging about it and giving the team no constructive feedback gets you and the rest of us about _ this far from nowhere.

I'm not outraged. I'm feeling a little tired (busy weekend) and a mild malaise towards what looks to be a hard workday. Add to that a nagging pain in my lower back (gardening as relaxation, ha!) and I'd say far from being outraged about anything gaming I'm slightly apathetic. That could change if a bug fix is released soon for Awakening. I would expect if that happens I may, but just may, feel some small degree of joy. But the jury is out on that one.

The only thing I was massively pissed about was that Vigilance was stolen by Antivan Crows according to the epilogue. If there is an import feature in the next Dragon Age games, I will have to start with only one decent sword in the beginning. Damnit.
