I want a batarian slave gladiator (irony) who was once formally an interventions officer and counter-terrorist (again, irony). He can tell Shepard about his experiences and how the vicious discrimination and treatment was. He would be SO beneficial that if shepard was monster racist, he would STILL recruit him. I also hate all of the little kids who go like "I kill every batarian I see" or "Stupid blinks, exterminate them all".



Btw, why do you guys reject it even though we had some real b!tches/bastards on our team. Zaeed, grunt... you get the idea.

I would like to see some versatility in who you recruit. In ME1 and 2 we had a set group of people to recruit. I would like to see say.. 20 or more people to pick from for 10 crew "slots". Lots of versatility for Renegade Sheps to have a crew of Batarians etc. Paragons can have a nice mix, and Terra Firma's can have all humans. That would be wonderful!

Also what is your point? its not as they can offer much and as a whole they have a chip-on-their shoulders about mankind, mercs and mercs and so unwise to create conflicts within the outfit or outside so they are civil but that is a huge step to join in a Cerberus iniciated group lead by someone who may be a war hero of a war they lost.

Terra firma should be renegade. Race does NOT represent morality. For the 10 slots and 20 possible squaddies=Do not want.  I want to recruit every possible candidate. Instead there should be an alternative. Squaddies would be affected by shep's morality. If shep was renegade then people like let's say tali will turn renegade.

True... or could not be true. And since we have not interacted with a batarian throughly in a friendly fashion and Garrus mentions almost nothing from his Batarian hacker besides him being good at his job.
And due to the fact, the only Batarians you meet are extremists in every sense of the word; I reserve judgement.

It could be orchestrated...maybe 99% of their population doesn't endorse slavery, hell, maybe their slavery is more greek fashion, or coudl be roman like.

Either way I'll maintain a healthy, hand on my pistol, skepticism whenever I meet one. No harm done in being careful right?

I helped the batarian sick, I let go those that were scared and threatening to kill Mordin's assistant,  etc etc. But still. Just like Kaiden said, a group of people dont define their entire species; a group of bad people dont mean the rest are the same, but a group of good people dont mean the rest are as good either.

I say that we humans are hypocrits. It was a major part of greek culture. I also think that we are no better than the batarians or even the krogan. Think about it. Before we even discovered alien races; we had war, genocide, murder, terrorism, and slavery.

Well given that the Batarians have a caste system with the slave caste being the lowest on the totem pole, I wouldn't be surprised if ME3 had a Batarian squadmate from the slave caste. That way he/she would have been a victim of the same treatment as those taken from Midnoir and even a Shepard with that background could be tolerant if not sympathetic to this hypothetical squadmate.

Batarians look like complete idots why onearth would you need 2 noses and 4 eyes..

Besides even if a batarian was recruitable in ME3 he'd probably just be another soilder with a gun.
