lol you have to be kidding me. If I hear one more 'family member takes over' idea I will kill someone.falco117 wrote...
maybe the brother of the batarian that was in garrus' squad, he could be all like "I want to avenge my brother by working with you" or something

the thing that puts us at odds with them the most is that both they and humans are relatively new in the galactic community .
• 200 BC - Batarians post an embassy, a century or more after first contact.
• 2165 AD - Humans granted an embassy, 12 years after first contact.
• 2171 Batarians close relations from the Citadel.
~ Batarian length of time as part of the galactic community: 2371 years.
~ Humanity's length of time as part of the galactic community: 6 years.
They sure as hell were not forming intergalactic treaties however...

But yeah, a batarian isn't too illogical, I mean, look at the Krogan. They're just as invariably violent as the batarians are jerks, and we've had two squadmates that are krogan.
We actually know very little about batarian space itself, though we do know that its oppressive. Who's to say that there aren't batarian resistance groups acting inside it, as they do have a slave caste, and it can't be completely made of non-batarians.
I still wish batarians looked like this though:

If they do decide to make Batarian squad member, they should give us an option to have him wear helmet all the time.
Or something to cover their teeth at least. They creep me out.

I'd really like to get to know batarins better, e.g. by a batarian squadmate. I can't decide whether I'd like a grumbling, grimly, always being in a bad temper or a rather nice, communicative one... both would be appealing.

-Let's just face facts, batarians are the most awesome looking aliens in the entire game. No? All the batarians you meet in Mass Effect are either criminals, mercenaries, slavers, and most of them hate humans. That's not awesome, that's annoying.Seriously...how awesome would this be?
Couldn't of said it better myself.
