Loghain's Cameo...

Granted it wasn't much and I'd be lying if I said i didn't want more, but it was nice of him to show up and give you a good magical weapon, at least. Was a lot more than I got out of Alistair/Anora/Wynne, and I knew them a hell of a lot better.
Also his insistence upon making heirs with Anora soon was amusing, though it seemed like an odd bit of foreshadowing considering the 'warden disappears' ending.
Anyone else like his cameo? Or even see it?

Yep, I liked the cameo. I especially liked his unusual amount of smiling, and him leaning against the wall with a heavy plate armor. A 50 year old can be cool.

I was glad to see him, sure, but that friendliness made it feel awkward.

FWIW, I enjoyed his brief appearance. It was one of the few times that DAO and DAA seemed to click neatly together, since Loghain's behaviour fitted with his previous relationship to my warden. Not sure how it would work for the Commanders who didn't get on with him, even if they saved his life - I haven't tried the colder dialogue options.
Loghain's behaviour was only jarring to me when contrasted to Wynne's. My warden also got on with her, so why is she so brusque while Loghain, despite being despatched to somewhere he really hates, full of people who probably hate him, practically radiates friendliness?

He really wants those grandkids?
Though I'm not sure how being so friendly to my male, unattached, not-married-to-his-daughter Grey Warden will get him there.
Let me guess, my Warden reminds him of Maric.

Not to be a smart ass or anything but I think he is actually in his 60s, because at the end of the Stolen Throne he was in his early 30s I think.KnightofPhoenix wrote...

If theres one thing I've learned from my days in WoW, its not to go anywhere near timelines. Ugh.

Well if you beat him in the Landsmeet duel I think he does say that.

The way he went on about Maric in his dialogues, I was surprised to find out that it was Rowan he was supposed to have been in love with.

But still: no romance then.
I must confess that when I saw him standing in the big hall in Awakening, I thought for a minute that I was able to recruit him again. But no, the guy had to leave to Orlaïs, where they 've all been waiting for him with a knife between the lips (and it made him laugh!)
I tried everything to make him stay. But no.
He left and the game seemed very empty suddenly. I went on, I finished it. But everything was, you know, kind of tasteless, colorless, flat...
Well, next chapter: I must go to Orlaïs to help Loghain about something weird there.
And we will fight again together , and maybe at last he will notice that I can be more than a trusted sister-in-arm...Maybe we deserve it, yes Mister!
and thank you KnightofPhoenix for that beautiful tribute:
Please Creators, let him BE again...

Does he appear in Awakenings if you play the Orlesian warden?
