Blood dragon armour lost bug

I've got the blood dragon set, and also the helmet of honeloth (the one that gives +2 stats, that comes with the stone golem DLC), ok... so i decided to equip the blood dragon set on Alistair to make him more tanky, but it turns out that his strength was at 36, which is 2 less than the required for the blood dragon set, so here what i did... i equip the helm of honeloth on Alistair first, to boost his strength to 38, then I equip all the blood dragon item on 1 by 1, while leaving the blood dragon helm for last. and there you go, i managed to equip the entire set on Alistair !
But the problem is, when i load the game again the next time i play... Alistair was in his undies.... and i checked my inventory and the set is no where to be found.
Can someone please help me solve this bug, or atleast help me get the set back?
Best regards, and thanks in advance.
John

If all your other DLC appears to be fine, you can just use the Force Load method to try and get the blood dragon armor back. It will reset things so you have to buy all the pieces again. Exit to the Main Menu, go to Downloadable Content->Installed Content. Clear the check mark next to Blood Dragon Armor to disable it. Go back to the Main Menu and load your last save. When it prompts you, Force Load it. Immediately make a new save (don't save over anything just to be safe). Exit back to the main menu, go to Installed Content again and reenable the Armor. Then load that new save you made and it should be treated as if you'd just installed it. Chestpiece in your inventory, all other items for sale.

Check that you don't have the disappearing DLC bug, which can also cause the armor to disappear. Exit the game completely (to desktop), restart, verify that all the DLC is authorized, and load the save again and see if the Blood Dragon Armor comes back.

I've followed this advice and it's just not worked. I loaded some previous saves to see where I had the armour, sure enough it's where the storyline stripped my dwarf warrior of his armour that it went AWOL. I'd continued quite a way without realising it had gone. I've saved at camp on the first time my character has been there, the save prior to disabling content etc has the items for sale but the one save after enabling the content isn't even showing the rest of the armour for sale.
Is there a dev console way to give me my content back at all?

The dwarf noble being stripped of his DLC equipment, including the Blood Dragon Armor, was fixed in Patch 1.02. But its not retroactive, you have to replay the section again.
Patch 1.03 broke the force load method of getting the Blood Dragon Armor back, unfortunately. Its strips everything when you force load, but reenabling it no longer gives it back. You'll likely want to at least back up to before you attempted that.
I know of no way to get the dev console to spawn items unfortunately.

Thanks for the advice though.

I downloaded the Blood Dragon Armor and Stone Prisoner DLC some time ago but then I didn't have enough strength to equip the BDA. I remember it was continuously reminding me I had to spend points on my Strength and now that I'm strong enough It just dissapeared. I remember that some time ago a message saying that an authorized profile must be logged in to use de DLC content appeared so I had to press Resume like six times before the game loaded. That doesnt make any sense cause I never used another account. I'm just tired of this POS and the force load doesn't work for me either.

- Make CONSOLE commands visible (this mod will allow you to see what you type in the console)
- AddItem Script
Then launch DAO and load your save.
Open the console by pressing the appropriate key (~ by default) then type the following command:
- to get back only a missing plate chest:
runscript additem prm000im_dragon_blood_plate.uti 1
- to get back the complete armor set::
runscript additem prm000im_dragon_blood_boots.uti 1
runscript additem prm000im_dragon_blood_glove.uti 1
runscript additem prm000im_dragon_blood_helm.uti 1
runscript additem prm000im_dragon_blood_plate.uti 1
Another note concerning this issue:
I pretty sure that this issue is related to loading a save game with the Blood Armor DLC not authorized. This can happen when loading a game immediately after launching DA:O. To prevent this issue, I suggest to follow these steps before loading a save game after DA:O launch:
1. from main menu, check that you are logged in then select Downloadable Content
2. if you see your DLCs on a green background, continue to step 7
3. wait for Point Balance to be updated
4. close panel
5. click again Downloadable Content
6. this time you should see your installed DLC on a green background and the Points Balance in update mode again
7. wait for Points Balance to be updated
8. close panel and load your saved game.
You only have to proceed this way on your first load after DA:O launch. Once this is done, you can directaly load games during the same session.

Well, the font that its supposed to make the commands visible didn't work either and the steps to install the AddItem Script are rather short and not all that explanatory

For AddItem Script, create a folder with an appropriate name (like "AddItem Script - Console") under My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override and unzip additem.ncs in this folder.

I'm running the latest version available to the Mac version and all my saves were with the latest version. I've tried the force load method (disabling/re-enabling the DLC) without success.
Can the console fix be used on the Mac ?

You should post your request on DA:O Mac Technical Support. This forum is DA:O PC Technical SupportMelchom wrote...
I had Dragon Armour in my inventory long after doing the origins quest - I believe I had it before clearing Soldiers Peak. However now I've actually got 38 strength it's gone from my inventory. I backtracked through all the merchants I had visited thinking it was me being stupid however it's gone completely.

For example I found on the Mac forum some notes with an almost identical subject header that might allow me to get the console up - however for what I'm supposed to enter I can only find here on the PC
I'll try and pay more attention moving forward if a query is Mac only.

the correct syntax is: ..._dragon_blood_..., not ..._blood_dragon_...
I've try this solution but it doesn't work for me,and I've make sure I can spell it right because I've jotted it down on my paper.....I absolutely sure that I haven't sell it because I keep it with me every time.
Maybe I can't do anything about this DLC
ps.My DA:O Version is 1.05 beta.
