Lol. Clearing browser cache, huh? I wonder what would be their next "advice".

Perhaps the point of your OP was simply to share what your experience with the Bioware support team was and that's fair enough.
I now see that you have not been very specific in relating what your problem is, except that you said, and I quote;

"I have done what they suggested and my computer crash a lot less"
(notice my exact use of a quote .....just joking, please don't get upset) ;)

Would you mind clarifying for me (though I realise I am not your best mate atm) if you are actually asking this forum for help or are you simply sharing Biowares responses in the hope of helping others?

If your intention was to ask for help would you mind explaining in this thread exactly what crashes you are experiencing and help us to help you by being a bit more specific......please.

Just for example;
Are you having blue screens of death, or does the game just crash and return you to the desktop?
Does the game freeze and you have to press the pc power button to shut it off?
When the game crashes does the sound continue in the background?
How often do the crashes occur?
Do you know what temperature your cpu and graphics card are reaching?
Have you by any chance installed any programs or utilities after the 1.02 and before installing the 1.03 patch?

While I realise you have little time for me, I may be able to help you.

My guess is "make sure your AV programs are up to date"

No hard feelings towards you mate, past is past, actually, the point of this post was to try and help people getting answers, I have been submitting tickets to Bioware tech support and I want to share the information they provided in hope it helps as many people as possible.

My issue with my game is the following: I play with DGOA and my computer screen goes dark, I hear strange sound from my speakers, then nothing, it shows like my computer had shut down but it didnt as its still run, nothing can be done to bring my screen back, tried powering off and on, resetting, nothing worked. The only thing that worked to bring my PC back to normal was to shut down my power supply, wait a few second, power it back on and all would work normally. Before Bioware helpful advice, this used to happen every 10 to 20 minutes in game, now, it takes about 1 hour.

This problem used to happen before when I played normal DAO however I fixed it by upgrading my drivers. It didnt work this time. So since this happened to a lot of people as well, I'm expecting Bioware to provide with an answer on why the game that I bought in store is not working while it should very well work. And I provide their solution here in hope that it does help the so many people that this issue affect

Actually the majority of people here experience frequent CTDs, not the system lockup you're describing. The symptoms you're describing are common to GPU overheat or insufficient power supply.

Thats what I thought too, but then again, its not that at all, my power supply is more then enough as I made sure to buy one that would run everything I have smoothly.

As for overheating, also thought about that too, but thats not it, temperature in my computer usually roams around 40 to 50C which is pretty standard.

Edit: Beside, I have done no upgrade on my computer since I bought it, I also can run other games which are more demanding on a computer then DAO and the game run smoothly without any issues, to add to that, my DAO game ran fine previously. I doubt patch 1.03 and Awakening is that much of a big difference for my computer to suddenly all go crazy as it never did prior.

Meaning, I had issues with my PC before, not the game, upgraded my drivers and it worked fine. Now this is a completely different issue.

Before, many of my games would suddenly crash, driver update fixed everything.

Now. Dragon Age crash, all other games work fine

According to this, I should eat this game left and right without a problem.

I also have a 9800GX2, I would get a temp monitoring program, like hardware monitor, start it up, play the game for awhile, when your done, you can check your high/low temps.  I bet you'll be running 80-90's on the GPU.  If your in the upper 90's or higher, I personally think that's too hot.  Make sure your gpu fan is running at  100%.  It will probably still get hot at 100%.  I was running in the mid-90's until I took my 9800GX2 apart and blew it out with canned air.  Now I generally run in the mid to upper 80's.  I don't remember what drivers you said you had installed, but the latest are 196.21.  Heat is a big issue with this game, so make sure the inside of your case is clean.  CPU heatsink/fan combo clean.  Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll look it up while my game is running, if its only a cooling issue, then it is easily fixed.
