I just bought the game, every excited!  BUT, when I import my character she is NAKED?  Why?  I was wearing the warden commender armor you get from the downloadable content SOILDER'S PEEK.  I have all my weapons but no armor...so I have to fight the beginning stages in my undies. any idea what is going on?

very important.

if you are going to import a char load the last save of the char and strip them of any DLC items that cause fatigue. if you dont the char will not have the items anyway when you import them BUT they will carry the fatigue of those items with them. 71% fatigue with no toggles on kinda blows...

jenocide is correct, DLC items do not carry over to the Expansion. Fell for the "woh i am naked WTF?!" thing myself.
Did not bother about the items, they are quickly replaced with better gear, but the aspect of atmosphere would not have suffered as much, if DLC equipment was replaced by some generic armor...

Wow, is that true? This might explain, why my char seemed so awfully exhausted, in the early game.

get naked and check your faituge. when i imported my warrior he was sitting at 14% with no toggels and no clothes on. it may be a char screen glitch, but i still wouldnt trust it.

Depends on the vendor - stuff bought from the Dryden dudes at Soldier's Peak is DLC stuff and won't transfer. All other vendor items will transfer.

Så, what do we who only have DLC items do? I ONLY have a freaking helmet on, armour and weapons all gone, on my other characters (companions). Will my items from the other characters transfer as well, or only on my main character? This kinda breaks the whole damn game.

It would help if you could at least tell whether you are playing the console or PC version.

Stone Prisoner (though these items cause bugs in an area of the game) and Rt:O items transfer (though my 7th Tier Cailan's armor went through a SERIOUS downgrade) and some Player made mods made it through whatever DLC filter the game has. Soldiers Peak (IE the awesome looking WC armor) does not (though I understand that there is a mod that lets you bring it, again player made).

What was in your inventory at the time of your save makes it through but nothing on your companions in Origins, so if you want to bring something to put on your companions in Awakening you wil have to strip your companions in Origins prior to saving the import save.

And yea I had the WC armor on, KNOWING it wasn't going to transfer, I wanted to see if I would get something comparable or just arrive in my skivvies. Apparently my Cousland girl met those self same orphans Zevran encountered except they took everything BUT my boots Posted Image

This is really unthought-through by bioware, really really stupid. I've lost almost all of my gear, most of which I could really use right now.. However, you could choose what save to import, do you know if the ending saves affect the game anymore than a save right before the ending? I can transfer all my gear on an earlier save.

DLC items (except RtO) will not transfer - you can still sel them to get more cash for Awakenings.

Doesnt' matter which one you pick (and you can pick ANY save), you get whatever gear you are wearing (provided it isn't DLC that isn't supported) and whatever is in your inventory. If you are lower than level 18 you will be bumped up (if its significantly higher such as level 3-18, then you will get some comparable gear but nothing near as good as you can get from say Wade's in Denerim). If you are higher than 18 you will be transfered with your level and all non DLC gear intact and whatever is in your inventory (and all money you had).

But I mean, is there any difference in gameplay, the only choice you make before boss/after is wether you live or die, will it affect gameplay if I load a save before I finisht eh game? If I do, I can just beef my character up with gear form al the party members ^^

It shouldnt make much difference in the game play but a better approach would be to load the epilogue save, which puts you in your camp in order to play any Origins DLC you missed. There you can strip your companions, grab all the importable stuff into inventory and save a post game save in camp to import.

Remember to keep the RtO gear though

Its okay for a DLC.  The gear is decent (though mine experienced a downgrade when I went to Awakenings) and the conversations between Wynne and Alistair are pretty bad continuity for characterization.  If you take Loghain (if he is alive in your game) you get other banter options with Wynne but I don't know what they are.  Otherwise it was okay.

To my astoundment to find my character ONLY have a confounded helmet on, except for weapons, are gone. And once you bring up the import selection, you've taking irrevocable step. All saves are lost.I can't go back and strip off armor. Now,I'm stuck with a ludicrous character in his SKIVVIES! It ruins the disposition of the introduction of the story! Now, I've to scounge up arnor from the dark spawn!

^EXACTLY...what happened to my girlfriend..only her grey wardens helm and weapons....on the other hand...i raided through the deeproads naked almost the entire time...i mean think about it, it'd be pretty badass to slaughter your way through hordes of darkspawn with only undergarments on...i mean at first it can't be taken seriously...but there were bersekers way back when who did it all the time...i'll uh...just stop here..

Ummm thats a new one on me, I didn't lose my saves from my original game.  If that happened with you thats one nasty bug.  (I play on the PC and maybe its different on Xbox/PS3? Can anyone elaborate?
