if you are going to import a char load the last save of the char and strip them of any DLC items that cause fatigue. if you dont the char will not have the items anyway when you import them BUT they will carry the fatigue of those items with them. 71% fatigue with no toggles on kinda blows...

Did not bother about the items, they are quickly replaced with better gear, but the aspect of atmosphere would not have suffered as much, if DLC equipment was replaced by some generic armor...
Wow, is that true? This might explain, why my char seemed so awfully exhausted, in the early game.Archfiend wrote...

DLC item's don't switch over.
Neither does any vendor gear apparently, I bought armor from the vendor and I still arrive in my skivvies.

jenocide is correct, DLC items do not carry over to the Expansion. Fell for the "woh i am naked WTF?!" thing myself.

get naked and check your faituge. when i imported my warrior he was sitting at 14% with no toggels and no clothes on. it may be a char screen glitch, but i still wouldnt trust it.

Depends on the vendor - stuff bought from the Dryden dudes at Soldier's Peak is DLC stuff and won't transfer. All other vendor items will transfer.rwscissors702 wrote...

What was in your inventory at the time of your save makes it through but nothing on your companions in Origins, so if you want to bring something to put on your companions in Awakening you wil have to strip your companions in Origins prior to saving the import save.
And yea I had the WC armor on, KNOWING it wasn't going to transfer, I wanted to see if I would get something comparable or just arrive in my skivvies. Apparently my Cousland girl met those self same orphans Zevran encountered except they took everything BUT my boots

But I mean, is there any difference in gameplay, the only choice you make before boss/after is wether you live or die, will it affect gameplay if I load a save before I finisht eh game? If I do, I can just beef my character up with gear form al the party members ^^
It shouldnt make much difference in the game play but a better approach would be to load the epilogue save, which puts you in your camp in order to play any Origins DLC you missed. There you can strip your companions, grab all the importable stuff into inventory and save a post game save in camp to import.
Remember to keep the RtO gear though

Its okay for a DLC. The gear is decent (though mine experienced a downgrade when I went to Awakenings) and the conversations between Wynne and Alistair are pretty bad continuity for characterization. If you take Loghain (if he is alive in your game) you get other banter options with Wynne but I don't know what they are. Otherwise it was okay.

To my astoundment to find my character ONLY have a confounded helmet on, except for weapons, are gone. And once you bring up the import selection, you've taking irrevocable step. All saves are lost.I can't go back and strip off armor. Now,I'm stuck with a ludicrous character in his SKIVVIES! It ruins the disposition of the introduction of the story! Now, I've to scounge up arnor from the dark spawn!
Ummm thats a new one on me, I didn't lose my saves from my original game. If that happened with you thats one nasty bug. (I play on the PC and maybe its different on Xbox/PS3? Can anyone elaborate?
