I wanted to import another save from my finished Dragon age Origins game but I can't seem to load back to my Origins character pre Awakening import. And when I insert my Origins disc and click on play, my computer can't seem to detect the Origins disc (it appears to be the wrong one) and keeps prompting me to insert the Dragon Age disc (the one the computer recognises is Awakening). How do I go back to my previous saves from Origins as I would like to import another save.

try inserting the awakening disc to see if you can import a character.Not a lot of people are aware that you can play DAO and DAA with the awakening disc.

Click launcher>play>new game>awakening>import from another module

yes i've done that...In fact, I can play origins with awakening disk but i can't use the origins disk anymore...the system doesn't acknowledge the origins disk as a dragon age disk for some odd reason. I also tried new game and import but it doesn't show my origins character that i want to import, but it does show other characters that i haven't imported before. I want to import another saved game of the current character i'm using in awakening but at post-coronation in origins.

Well i just tried using my DAO disc and it won`t read it either and i haven`t imported any characters.As i have two dvd drives tried using DAO in both drives and will not read .Then inserted DAA in both drives and DAA was read both times . My thinking right now is DAA screwed the pooch on using DAO disc.because i`ve been using 1.03 patch since release date

Not true.
I can access my pre-Awakening saves just fine. It's just the character you transfer to Awakening is duplicated. From the main menu go to Load, you will see the list of you Awakening saves (that is if you're currently playing Awakening), press the Switch Character button, there you will see two versions of your character (one from Origins, one from Awakening). Can easily tell which is which by looking at their level.

I downloaded Awakenings and Origins but after I installed Awakenings it keeps on telling me to insert the correct disc. It worked fine before I installed Awakenings.

If it helps I run Windows 7.

Once you've bought and installed Awakening, you're supposed to run the game off the Awakenings disc, NOT the Origins disc.



Also, there's a little button in the load menu labeled 'Switch Characters'. Click on that to access your previous character and all other characters you've ever made.

But I downloaded both of them. There IS no disc.

I'm actually having the same problem. It says "Could not find the Dragon Age disk. Please insert the disk and try again." Do I just not use this disk anymore? and is everthing available on the Awakening disc? According to the pamphlet in awakening it says to use Origins for Orgins and Awakening for Awakening?
