Somehow I managed to break the OC and have that problem where your companions don't show up at the camp. What I did in the toolset was creating a new area and a level, I didn't edit anything related to the OC, which I did apparently but I don't know how I did it. Deleting the Single Player folder and overrides doesn't fix it. It seems that the saves before I started to work with the toolset work though. How do I prevent this from happening again?

Why did you try to edit your single player game? Just leave it alone or the darkspawn will get you.

Instead, why not make a new module (File -> Manage Modules -> New) if you want to tinker with your toolset.

Remove those areas and levels you put in (from the toolset) and see if that helps, otherwise you're probably looking at a reinstall.

...Oh, and this time don't touch the Single Player Campaign. ;)

u probably dont need a reinstall. any save you made after installing the tool set with the single player folder still active is probably corrupted, just play an earlier save

Utter rubish.

1) Load toolset, goto tool > export > Empty Export Directories

2)
FIND:
X:\\Documents and Settings\\<user>\\My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\modules
Delete anything called single player

3)
FIND
<DA:O Install Dir>\\dragon age origins\\modules\\single player\\override
Delete anything in this folder

4)
FIND:
<DA:O Install Dir>\\dragon age origins\\packages\\core\\override
Delete anything in this folder

This should clear up any issues you have, re-installing the game will have pretty much zero effect on the problem and will just waste your time.

This thread helped me when deleting the folders didn't work. Eizneckam's queries to change the toolset GUIDs to the ones represented in the main campaign made my party actually join me. Takes a little bit of SQL knowledge, but the process isn't that difficult once you have the SQL Server Management Studio installed. However, they still don't show up in camp where they should be. At least the game is playable again though and that problem might fix itself when I meet a new party member considering the plot flag should get reset.
