What if they deliberately kill off your favorite character in ME3 and there was nothing you could do about it?

What if your favorite ME character dies in ME3 and there was nothing you could to prevent it? Would you be annoyed?

And i guess i would be a tad annoyed, unless it had a reeeeeaally good reason to kill them off... and i doubt even that will be good enough!

In Mass Effect 1 it's Jenkins, and in Mass Effect 2 it's Wilson. This Bioware tradition goes back to Knights of the Old Republic.
In both Mass Effects you get characters to replace them with the same abilities. Miranda takes Wilson's place, and Ashley takes Jenkins place. Usually in RPGs you have a character die, leave, or be captured very early in the game.

It's very possible for us to find out inadvertently. A lot of people get kicks from spoiling fans. Just look at Harry Potter. If I bought Mass Effect 3 and then all of my favorite characters died...well, I wouldn't be buying any DLC. Also more likely to return the game.Druss99 wrote...
Everyone saying they wont buy the game if a character gets killed off, how are you going to know? Will you read every spoiler before the game comes out?

I would not pay for the game. Simple.
This. They could just keep their game, and I'd keep my money. The same would probably happen if the only possible ending required Shepard to sacrifice himself.

Shepard is my favorite character and if he dies, he will just get resurrected. Zombies never really die, they just take long naps.
Shepard also happens to be a cyborg. So in essence, he's a zomborg, which is immortal.

Its not just about a character. The keywords are "deliberately" & "favorite". I would probably pretty pissed about it and vent a bit on the forums. Or just do nothing. Dunno, but I would dead sure stop playing the game the moment it happens (and already did in the ME1 "Chose between Ash and Kai" and in less then a fistful other games) and maybe pick it up some weeks later.
The dramatic downfall moment in movies just does not work for me in games.

I wonder if Zomborg Shepard will assimilate the Reapers.
