Two things from the top of my head:

- the crahes that now occur randomly in battles (only after I installed patch 1.03)

- mousewheel zoom still does not work (Win7, Microsoft Mouse - so nothing too exotic here)

I would like to see the next patch fix more than it breaks, unlike 1.3.

I can think of a few problems that should be fixed:
1) Ancient Elven Boots not spawning in the Lothering cabinet on the PC version.
2) Fang, the dagger Cyrion Tabris rewards City Elf Wardens with when they save the elven slaves, is stuck at Veridium on the PC version, with terrible stats. Compare this to the console version of Fang, which scales all the way to Dragonbone, at which point it is the best dagger in the game. Also consider that the dagger which Wardens of all other origins get as a reward for that quest, "Gift of the Grey", is a Silverite dagger, making it superior to the special reward open only to the City Elves... it makes no sense.

These bear repeating.  (I'm amazed the boot bug isn't fixed yet - the devs were made aware of it very early.  Mind you, there's a PC-mod to add the boots.)

Oh, I remembered other bugs:

1) Morrigan won't teach you her specialisation if you get her approval too high

2) Lelianna bug where she won't give you her side quest if you have too high approval.

1. I7/ Windows 7 64 bit crash bug fix

The main thing though would be game stability. It was somewhat bad before patch 1.03, and awakenings. But since then it is a night mare for I7 systems running Windows 7 64 bit.

I've got an I7 920 (running @ 3.6) and Windows 7 64-bit Professional, but I've not had any problems with crashing (I think I might have crashed once since 1.03 came out) and that includes about half a playthrough of Origins and a complete playthrough of Awakenings.

So...are you sure the problem is with I7 system running Windows 7 64-bit?

I pretty sure it is related to the I7/ Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate crash and memory leak problem the DEV's were trying to fix back when patch 1.02 came out. But now with the 1.03 patch and awakenings it is nothing but a nightmare. It's not a driver or hardware issue all my drivers are up to date, and I can play ME2 or any other game without this issue it is only DAO that this has been an issue with. I've tried reinstalling the game and such when the 1.03 patch came out thinking something got corrupted but to no avail the problem persists. So this is a game programing issue on Biowares end.

Darkshadow: try disabling autosave and then go into your Options->Online tab and disable all the options in there. See if it makes a difference with your crashes. Someone suggested trying this and I've been passing it on to others, as it seems to make a difference with many people that are having crash problems.

Fang is quite easy to fix. Go into the toolset and go under items, weapons, daggers, unique. The names are in parenthesis. Open a local copy, change the material progression to iron/gray iron/steel/silverite/dragonbone and change the weapon material to iron. Save it and export it without dependencies. You'll find it in packages/core/override/toolsetexport.

I'm adding a few custom yet not overpowered items to stores soon. I'll put that in the override as well if you'd prefer to wait. On that note, some things I'd like to see:

More weapon models, particularly daggers and mage staves. It looks kind of odd to be in a really fancy robe and your weapon look like a rotten tree branch. The spiral staff looks really nice, but there are so few of this model in the game. Same with the kris style daggers. Very nice, but few outside of DLC which does not transfer over for the most part. Some dagger suggestions: Kukri: www.kabar.com/product/productDetail.do, combat knives: www.kabar.com/product/productDetail.do and that knife you kill people with in cutscenes. Kind of looks like a chef's knife. Would be funny to chop up your stew while they breathe. Err.. Heheh...

I'd like to see axes the way they are in life. The axe is meant to cut down treees, a very hard substance. So it stance to reason that they should have decent armor penetration- even more so than a mace because it focuses the crush into the body of the one wearing the armor. Why do longswords always get the glory in games? :pinched:

Other than that, what's already been echoed here..

That's certainly been fixed on the PC.

You're right about #2, my bad. Just remembered it happened in my last playthrough, but that was before 1.2.

About #1, how do you not think it is a bug ?! Obviously, if Morrigan likes you more, she should be more inclined to teach you her specialisation, not the opposite.

Whenever you steal or receive an item/s, I'd be nice to be told what it is you just got instead of looking through your inventory for new items.

It's the custom DLC like runic armor, grey warden armor, wings of velvet, ivory tower, that's not showing with new characters created in Origins, even though it showed up completely fine with games that were started in 1.02.

Right now it's only the Steam version of 1.03 that's not working for custom DLC.

Well she's not "romantically" interested in you anymore if the approval gets too high and this seems to be by design.

I think all the major bugs were already mentioned, so here's the only thing I can think of:

Allow Shale to have an alternate weapon set like every other character. It's a minor pet peeve, but whenever I'm facing an enemy that's immune to the type of damage that Shale's dealing, I have to open up my inventory and find a more suitable small crystal for that particular situation.

This.  (Oh, and tons of things that others already asked for...many of the requests are ones that I can see BW not fixing really soon, but how in the *heck* are simple things like the Ancient Elven Boots not yet fixed?  The regression test for that one-line change is *not* something that should be time-consuming...)

Second thing to go with "alternate weapons for Shale" is "allow tactics to switch to alternate weapon set or find another target when current weapon set does no damage".  It's part-and-parcel of the improved AI that would keep Shale from mindlessly beating on Revenants with cold damage (or skeletons with nature damage IIRC) and also keep both the party and the bad guys from mindlessly beating on a force-fielded target.

For PC users like me, some of these things are already available as mods...but why oh why (and don't tell me "testing resources") can't we get at least the simple "low-hanging fruit" fixes into the vanilla game on all platforms?

She's mercurial.  And, as mentioned, this is entirely consistent with her other behaviour.  She's not romantically interested in you if she likes you too much.  being nice to her makes her less likely to consent to sex.  She's just generally contrary.

When friendly fire doesn't apply, those spells don't do anything to you. For some reason, secondary spell effects still work on you as is...

For similar reasons, friendly fire limitations need to be applied to non-party allies too.

1) Fix the Ranger's pets disappearing on room transitions and fast travel, and being locked out of rooms during some fights which follow cut scenes.

2) Scrollable quick bar to double the slots - a click box like the weapons swapper to choose between them would work great.

Runes do not work with sword and shield skills, as far as I can remember the elemental buffs also don't work, so using the assault skill which is several sword strikes is missing 3x5 elemental damage from 3x5dmg runes, + if I have one or more mages with the fire/frost buffs, they also don't count, so as of now it is pointless to put points into the attacking skills and therefore pointless to put points into stamina, when it is more effective to do a regular attack with the shield defensive buffs permanently on.

It is also not just that skill tree, I think the warrior or beserker tree has a final strike skill that drains all your stamina to deal extra damage.....it still deals less damage than a standard attack with the above buffs.

I can't believe it has gone overlooked for so long, it's ruined my favourite class...

Thanks that did seem to help quite a bit. It still crashes but just not as often. That being said though the whole idea of a patch is to fix things not make the game more unstable. I should not have to turn off features within the game autosave and so on in order for it not to crash as often. But in the end your quick fix seems to work pretty well Thank you for the info Eurypterid. ;):)

SPOILER!!!

The game seems to have trouble deciding whether the Keep was destroyed in the endgame, and also whether the companions I left there died or not. Edit: This is of course Awakening i'm talking about here.
My codex updated when I decided to defend the city, and the codex stated that all the companions left at the Vigil died heroically before the Keep was ultimately destroyed.
Then when the game was finished, in the epilogue, suddenly all those characters were still alive, and the Keeps walls apparently stood fast against the darkspawn horde.

Kind of an immersion breaker, yes?

Pickpocket bug, i wont even touch the expansion until they got this one sorted out (was planning on doing a fresh run as a rogue but this bug took away all motivation for that particular idea), apart from that im pretty much ok with the game but its kinda annoying the break something thats been working just fine since day 1 just when they release the first expansion, its also pretty amazing its not been hotfixed already as it impacts not only the new expansion but also the original game and im betting there are alot of players holding back getting the x-pac until the bug's are ironed out.

#1 Fix the instability issues. (although they only occur for me with certain, somewhat predictable events, e.g. while casting Holy Smite-- still not very acceptable)

#2 Fix the pickpocketing bug.

#3 Fix the Awakening +100 approval bug.

#4 Revamp the crafting menus either to be auto-organized in an intuitive way, or to allow for manual organization.
