Clearly, I am not the only one having loading problems, but it appears mine isn't very common. I haven't seen any posts that describe a situation similar to mine, unfortunately.

Brand new digital download install of DA and the attached DLCs. Patch
1.00, no saved games, no toolset installed, no other modifications made directly or
indirectly to the game. I did have it installed once before, but
uninstalled completely when I updated to patch 1.01 and found it broke stuff.

When I click to start a new game,
I get an error that says the "module could not be loaded."
I've updated the Microsoft VC++, which is a popular hotfix for different issues.
The DA:O loader works perfectly and always has, along with the DA:O Confic Utility.

My specs:
Windows XP Professional SP 3
Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 2.80GHz
ATI Radeon X1300/X1550 Series 128 MB
1.25 GB of ram

Which is weird since there shouldn't be any residue of the toolset on my own computer, since this is a clean install? Unless it didn't actually get completely uninstalled, and it's still interfering with the game?

Alright. I found a potential solution in the other forum. Someone else had a similar problem, and they claim it was the My Documents > Bioware folder that caused the problems. They deleted the folder entirely, then reinstalled and it helped a lot.
I'm not certain if it will work for me yet, since I'm in the middle of reinstalling after deleting the Bioware Folder. I did leave it in after the first uninstall though, since I thought the main problem was in the core files.

Confirmed it works for me. Deleting that folder before reinstalling fixed the conflict/corruption. So far, the game works perfectly.

Works. Deleting the My Documents > Bioware folder before reinstalling fixed the conflict.
