Well, Grey Wardens are only important when there's a blight. Since those things only happen every few hundred years, they'll have to come up with an interesting angle for the Wardens other than "rebuild the order" which we've been doing for a game and an expansion already.AlexTheRogue wrote...
I hope they stick with grey wardens as there is still so much to learn about them and to find other grey wardens and rebuild the grey wardens in ferelden
I'd like a fresh start in a new country, there's just so much more to Thedas than Ferelden. Maybe meet some wardens but to be another warden would feel too "been there, done that".

How are you going to import your character if Awakening doesn't allow you to create a epilogue savegame?EmperorSahlertz wrote...
I'm quite sure I've read somewhere that BioWare stated the next DA games won't focus on the Darkspawn. The Darkspawn will quite clearly however remain an important part of the DA universe. Judging by epilogues from Origins and Awakenings, I'll place my bet on DA2 will take place in Orlais and will have the same protagonist (If you import anyway).
Or am I to believe that BioWare intends to disregard the addon completely and just go with the epilogue save for Origins?

Might be like the Mass Effect import, it just takes your latest save. And since there aren't a lot of important choices after the last boss there won't be any data loss.Petsura wrote...

I would like to import my player to DA2 but as I saw in DA:W the player goes back to Alistair at the palace and then for a time she leaves on her own and no one knows why or you leave with Alistair and no one knows why..... and it also said the adventures where not yet over so its open for anything at this point right!

Mass Effect creates an epilogue save.

Grey Wardens only focus on Darkspawn. And Darkspawn are boring now.
Playing as Morrigan's child would get rid of Origins, and being able to choose your race. So no to that either.

It's most likely war, with trevinter. (Anyone see all those Bloodmages in fereldan?) There was alot of them...to much for my liking, somethings going on.

Forcing the player's character to be a warden through a whole second story would just kind of be like the second Matrix movie to me. The first had it's shock value but once that registers, the sequel was just more of the same. So...I wouldn't want that to happen to Dragon Age 2.
There are alot of intrigues between political factions or religious factions of Thedas where the plot could revolve around situations not concerning darkspawn. Sure, darkspawn can make appearances. We kind of expect them to. Seeing the Qunari invade or stopping/aiding renegade mages or helping the Dalish elves rebel would all be interesting main plots as far as I'm concerned.
I'm sure there are factions of Thedas we don't even know about yet, I bet Gaider & crew will suprise us with a good script.

1) The political situation of Orlais, possibly in relationion to Ferelden.
2) Morrigan's God Child and the mechanics and history of the Fade and spirits/demons.
3) The search for the Arlathan, the mythical homeland of the elves, and the discovery of survivors.
Each is an interesting idea. If it focuses on Orlais, it'll be closer to home because there's a good chance that we'd see cameos from DA:O characters and we'd hear about the ramifications of our actions in the first game. If it focuses on the Fade, we find out more about the mechanics of the Dragon Age cosmos, since it's mostly ambiguous right now. Finally, if we see survivors of Arlathan it'd be like the search for Atlantis and the discovery of ancient, advanced civilisations.

Yeah, but we all know how that went, with the decision about the council and all. Besides there aren't any use for an epilogue save in Awakening since you aren't making any important decision by the end of it. You can easily import from your last save and not lose any data (depending on when your last save is ofc).Hyper Cutter wrote...
