Ok, so today I went back to the ruined temple to kill the High dragon. I didn't think I could do it earlier, so I finished the circle of magi main quest first. After killing the high dragon I got a ton of loot. very cool. However, i got this piece of dragon scale. I noticed that I had a quest for it, so i took it to wade and he said he couldn't do anything with it, 'perhaps if I had some "Drake Scales" to practice on. Ok, Bingo, I need drake scales so after looking for an hour in game, i came to the community for help. I have cleared out all of the 'ruined temple' and all of the circle tower, but have never come across drake scales, if I did I must have sold them as vendor trash, I double check my main vendors but did not find any. So, given my predicament, can anyone lead me in the direction of a few Drake Scales? thanks in advance and please for maker's sake, don't tell me to get them in the ruined temple, because there is nothing alive there.

I hate to say it, but I found three drakes in the Ruined Temple. I can't remember the exact location, but you should check the caves on the end, then when you turn back, three drakes will respawn. You can use those scales for the armor.

There are a total of six drakes to kill (all of which conveniently drop drake scales) in the wyrmling lair, which is accessed through the ruined temple. If you didn't explore the entirety of the wyrmling lair, you probably missed the drakes and need to go back. If you DID explore the entirety of the wyrmling lair, then you either forgot to loot the drakes, or you mistook the scales as vendor trash and either destroyed them or sold them.

Ok, thanks for the advice fellow adventurers. I shall return to the lair to vanquish the drakes but first, I must undertake another restless night with my tent buddy Morrigan.

Yeah, I found 5 or 6 Drake scales in the temple/caverns.
Here's what I did:
1. Wade takes 3(?) Drake scales to "practice" with and makes lighter armor. It's not that good, so I sell it back.
2. Pay him 20 gold (?), and he makes a second set of Drake armor, this time better. (I have Lelilae (sp) wear it, as she's a Rogue/Bard archer and it gives Dex bonus)
3. Finally he'll make the Dragon Armor (<<<my avatar here is wearing it!) and I've had it on ever since. (and somehow beat that High Dragon relatively early, so have been wearing this stuff for awhile)
