PC content for consoles please - I WILL PAY

My question is: how much would you (a console user) pay extra to enjoy the PC exclusive features of DAO? I would be willing to hand over 800 MS/BW points personally. Maybe this might encourage BW to make this a feature of DA2.

Most console users would agree that we feel a great deal of envy for our PC counterparts. As an xbox user, i would love the oppurtunity to play (if not create) user made content. I would imagine that it is very difficult to port items across from PC like this.

Yeah I bet they're thinking that no one would pay for it. I bet they're totally oblivious that people would pay for DLC. /facepalm. Your thread is not going to change anything, grats on wasting your time as you've wasted mine and others.

Just buy a PC. You can get one for the same price as a console these days that can support the game just fine.
I'm sorry you are just wrong. My xbox cost me £90 (sorry English!) If you can post a link showing me where i can get a decent gaming PC for £90, i will buy it right now - no joke.

Pay for the PC hardware.
This^^
it's a tradeoff you make when you choose to buy and play games on the console. Live with it or buy a pc.

Mine was cheaper (a sale i think). Still though, the xbox is cheaper than PCs that are needed to play a variety of games. I don't just play DA all the time! Consoles can enjoy a greater variety for less. Besides i'm not attacking PC gamers anyway. I'd just like to enjoy the same privilages as you in the next DA. I envy you guys (although the elitist attitude can sometimes get a little over the top).

Clearly, if you were a real gamer, you would not pay your mortgage, your car payments, tuition for your children, your gas and electric bills, buy food for your family and pay for life and car and health insurance.... Either that or you wouldn't buy any new games to entertain yourself and family for a period of a year or so to save up for that new PC.... or you should forget the fact that you know nothing about computers and how to build them and buy parts that may or may not be compatible with your motherboard and upgrade it yourself... or that you should put an ad up on Craiglist and ask some random internet stranger to come to your home and do it for you.....
Because all of that would be much better than ever *gasp* deigning to play a game on a perfectly usable console you already own.....
These threads always devolve into PCs vs Consoles, and people end up being really rude to everyone else, calling them all sorts of names, questioning their mental capabilities, and no one ever changes any one's mind.
It is quite sad that Tali and Garrus end up being romanceable despite their DNA being toxic, yet pc and console users still can't get along.

Many PC users are elitists, and feel that if you were a "real" gamer you would spend the hundreds of dollars needed to upgrade your pc to play the latest games, despite the fact that your 360, bought at the same time as your pc 5 years ago is still able to play everything while now your pc is a POS that cannot even run the character creator.

YAY SUPPORT! Thanks! I'm not being confrontational to PC players. I'm actually addressing other console users (try reading my OP). I wish there was a console only section (instead of just technical support).

For console users to discuss DAO without PC users coming to tell us to buy PCs! And BTW man, i hate exclusives on all platforms - i wish everyone could play everything on any platform. That would be great and we could all play nice!

There might be technical issues creating mods for consoles. There might also be licensing issues there too. I know Microsoft can be pretty strict in that regard.

Does anyone know of a console game manufacture allowing mods or creating toolkits for one of their games? Maps don't count. To the extent that Dragon Age has on the PC.

Oh i don't doubt that it would be hideously difficult to implement! I am hoping however that content might be transferable in future (because consoles obviously lack the capability to create content). Its just a dream of mine really and i was interested to see if other gamers cared about it as passionately as me. Well at least i know what the PC crowd think lol!

Sounds like a pretty childish reason to open a whole forum, fragment the discussion further, and force the moderating team to do more work.

It wouldn't be "hideously difficult". It would be impossible because it's against the policies Microsoft has with Xbox live.
I'm sorry but I have to reiterate. if you want to be able to play mods, buy a PC. That is and it will always be the only way, and not only with Dragon Age.

PC's are not the same price as consoles. I have a first degree in mathematics and you only need first school, first term maths to know just how way out that is.
No it doesn't sound like a childish reason at all! Silly boy.

Oh, I have to pay my mortgage! I have to pay for my kids braces!
So melodramatic. Most people can have a decent PC gaming rig for ~$100. And by that I mean that if you have a relatively modern desktop (within the last 3-4 years) all you need to do to turn it into a gaming PC is buy a video card. A good one can be had for ~$100.
Even if that is not your situation, a gaming rig can be had for ~$500-$600. More than a console, but it's a PC, not just a gaming box. It'll be better at the normal PC stuff you do (HD video, media server, photo/video editing, workstation duty) AND play games at better resolution and better graphics quality than any of the consoles.
That's just facts. Somehow these facts rub console players the wrong way. And so they ignore it, and keep blabbing on about the expense of PC gaming.
Never mind that these same people go right out and spend $600 in plastic guitars and motion controllers. <_<
As for PC mods coming to the consoles. Forget it, it won't happen. There are technical issues and legal issues. If you want mods, if you want better graphics, if you want a platform that is all digital, is more versatile (I play FPS and strategy games with my mouse and keyboard, and racing games/sport games on my TV from my couch with a wireless controller) then get a PC, or upgrade your current one.
We pay a bit more for this platform not because we have extra cash to burn so we might as well. There are GOOD reasons to own and play games on a gaming PC. The same is true of consoles however, I own a Wii for example. Why limit yourself to a single platform? If you're a gamer I would imagine you would appreciate the differences and pluses of all platforms.
