Interesting...outside another expansion, would it make sense to import your character to a sequel? Considering Awakening is aimed at higher levels already, I'm not sure I would want to start the "next chapter" of the story with level 30+ character. That is one of the pitfalls of RPGs, you reach a certain point in your progression were having crushed all resistance in your plane of existence (or universe)....where is the challenge?
Didn't everything level up with the PC though? Maybe the enemies in the sequel would be much stronger.
I also think whether or not you have Awakenings it's not going to effect a possible sequel. It's just like the DLC not transferring over. I didn't have it. I certainly didn't miss it. And it had no impact on the game whatsoever.
From what I could tell, I would say they do level up with you. I agree that Awakening probably will not be required to play any sequel. Your suggestion would be reasonable and workable, just continue as is and notch up the encounters/rewards/etc appropriately. I feel though you lose something in the process by doing that...a sense of closure and your accomplishments really don't amount to much. Eventually though, you will arrive at a point you realize your character's adventures/quests are nothing more than a simple rehash of previous quests...so instead fighting of lvl 1 critters they are lvl 30 critters (Elder Scrolls 4 and Fall Out 3 suffered through something similar.) Now KotOR2 handled this by starting your character as low level, but further "along" in your path than KotOR.
I agree. And it would get to the point where it would just become too easy and nobody wants that.
Personally though, I want to keep traveling with my warden until it comes time for them to venture to the Deep Roads and die from an onslaught of Darkspawn.
