Am I supposed to play the game all over again so I can see what happens when I use the +10% power helmet instead of the +10 health helmet I beat the game with?

I think class specific armors should be the way to go. Like Nocturnal Stillness was saying, something for the Soldier class would have - for example - +20% health and +20% shields but have -5% Storm Speed and could look like the Heavy Colossus armor from ME 1 - and have every part but the helmet (since it looks almost exactly like the default helmet). Taking those iconic armors and making them a part of ME 2 would be the most sensible choice.
No thank you, I don't want to get shafted out of equipping the armor I like because I'm a Sentinel.
I'm glad that they removed the armor class system from ME1. I like Heavy Armor, not the feminine leotard-looking armor I was forced into wearing as a punishment for being a Sentinel.

Same, I fail to see what makes Sentinels, Adepts and Engineers unable to use heavy armor. Keep the system how it is in ME2.

Yeah, it's another thread but it's better than retyping everything.

You could just copy/paste it like so...

So I had this idea the other day, we all know the problem everyone is having with helmets.
So
instead of reintroducing the "toggle helmet" button, why not integrate
it with the story and gameplay.
Collapsible helmets. The weapons
do it, why not the helmets too. When Shepard is not in combat the helmet
collapses, when he is it fully forms around his head.
I've included a couple of sketches to futher convey my idea.

And as I said in your thread, I support this idea. Very good.

I support the idea that in Mass Effect 3 our squadmates can also equip armor that the player selects for them, yet at the same time a person was saying earlier that they want their femshep to be able to wear sleeker more feminine armor. I think both should be available to the player. It just depends how much time and resources Bioware wants to commit to customization. If I want my femshep to wear something similar to what Samara wears, I should be able to wear it... Samara does, and I'm freaking Shepard - hero of the galaxy.
Also, I do not want a return to the armor classes if it means I will be restricted to a certain type because of my class. For balance issues, lighter armor could give advantages to biotics/speed/tech and heavy could be slow/high defense. These are just examples to make a point. The reason that they should not be restricted to class is so that any player can create the style they want regardless of how the armor functions. I know Im not the only one that will wear a piece of great looking armor regardless of the benefit it offers.

I want Helmet Toggle, and personally I'd be willing to pay for it.
Such a patch/DLC would take time and effort on Bioware's part, and while it was their bad decision to not include it in ME2, I'd be willing to pay for a patch that added it.
I made a poll about this one, the vast majority of people said it should be free, but since most folks around here all want something for nothing, that's really not surprising...
http://social.biowar...648/polls/5290/
However, I'm positive that if BW ever did release a paid DLC for Helmet Toggle, there would be massive bawwwing all across the boards about how it should be free and yada yada yada.
Still, I'd pay for Helmet Toggle. Even if it was only like in Dragon Age where Helmets toggle off automatically when you enter a conversation. (Which shouldn't be too hard for BW to do, since it already works in reverse where helmets auto toggle on when you go to places without oxygen)
I like Voting, where are the options for those who actually won't pay for it and don't want it?

I figured that since those who don't want it are a minority anyways, I'd just leave it out. Besides, there's no point in voting in a thread for something that you don't care about. If you really don't care, then what's the point in voting? Seems like a waste of time to me.

Description: Red and white armour with a medical cross in the middle.
Background: Advanced military armour co-developed by the Sirta Foundation and Kassa Fabrication, uses an ablative armour shell supported by a bio-synthetic organism that taps directly into its wearer's nervous system for combat augmentation. Has a draw-back in that it relies on wearer's metabolic function, lowering total blood volume and ability to withstand trauma.
Effects:
15% faster storm speed
20% extra melee damage
5% biotic damage
5% tech damage
-10% health

Armor parts with combined effects!
For example:
- Helmet with +2% Health and +5% Headshot damage
- Leg armor with +5% storm speed and +5% heavy ammo capacity
In essence, combine existing effects, with the effects less than what the single specialty parts have.
Helmet toggle would be nice, it looks quite stupid when Shepard pours a drink into his breather mask...
Besides, not showing your face should have a detrimental effect during negotiations, unless(!) you want to intimidate.
Armor for squadmates would be great, too
Having said that, I'm still missing my Predator M IX...

I like TIM's suit too, but I'm content with the suit from the Kasumi DLC.
