2. More N7 parts.
3.Toggle helmet.
4. Release the pre-order bonus stuff (terminus gear, inferno armor and the incisor rifle) for download.
5. Toggle helmet.
6. New different armors with their own costumizable modular parts (this will prolly be the case with that "arc projector" armor)
7. Toggle helmet.
8. At least some customization for your squad (like something to replace those ridiculous breather masks).
9.Toggle helmet.

A large pack of N7 parts would be the sh*t.
I'd like to see some kind of heavy duty suit. A BIG BULKY set of armor. But Mass Effect-ified.
This would be awesome, I don't need to look like a space marine (although it would be cool) but larger, bulkier parts would be nice especially for a soldier.
While not to derail the topic with clevage talk, I would like my femshep to be able to wear an outfit like Samara/Miranda/Jack, at the very least as casual wear but in battle would be appreciative. I just don't get why my shep needs to stay in armor when the others don't.... and can still take as many hits as her
Also somone mentioned above Star Wars armor, an outfit of Revan's amor from the end of Kotor 1 would be awesome as an easter egg. Although they may still need to ask for the rights which doesn't sound right because they created it.
All in all, a large pack of N7 armors. How many is large? I would say around 4 or 5 pieces for each slot. That is 4 chest, 4 head etc.

I'm liking the idea of a big hulking version of the N7 armour.... something like Space Marine terminator armour but N7/masseffectified. Has stats like 20+ armour but -20 move speed
Some more casual options like N7 tshirt!

No. I'm saying that BioWare doesn't need to focus on any more armour, we have enough. They need to focus on actual content like new missions.

Instead of releasing them bit by bit they should wait till they've got loads then open up that strip from Thane's loyalty mission and sell them there

I'd rather have useful armor and weapons than a 15-25 minute side mission that costs 400+ points.

Second thing: squad armor. I would like the armor to be customizable, but that really falls second to actually giving them armor at all. I simply cannot maintain immersion or suspension of disbelief when my allies are running around half naked in a vacuum. Not giving squadmates armor (even if unmodifiable) was an idiotic idea. Never do it again.
Thirdly, the customizable armor parts need to have actual bonuses that make a difference. The way they are now, the different armor pieces have almost no effect on the game. Make the bonuses meaningful. Add in tradeoffs. Make armor selection actually important. More parts would also be nice, but if they were of the same magnitude as the old parts they wouldn't make any difference.
I doubt that any of this will be in ME2, but I still hold out hope for ME3.

the armor mesh is coded in the games ini files.
All the independent armor parts go to the N7 custom armor.
i.e. FullBodyAppearances= armor mesh and stats file entry.

I can accept that, I just feel that it was a poor choice from an artistic standpoint. The Terminus gear I felt was the best looking armor and the helmet wasn't bad either. I just wish i could have put that helmet on some of my N7 chestpieces and vice versa.

That is the excuse they gave, yes.
A very lame excuse, at that, since their armor system is clearly capable of having multiple sections, if they actually cared enough to implement it.
In fact, it is more indicative of an unwillingness to put in the effort required to add what should have been there from the start, than an actual limitation that prevents them from adding in what they left out.
Hell, if they thought they could get away with it (and not turn the forum into an inferno of nerd rage and hellfire), I wouldn't put it past them to sell an add-on that enables helmet toggle for all the armors. I think they are smarter that that, though.

Yes I understand your frustration. It is a bad choice. I bet it will take a code rewrite to fix it and I don't mean a
simple ini change, but in the way that module work with in the game engine.

A large portion of the ME2 Fanbase wants it, (has anyone ever done a poll so I can get an exact percentage?) so Bioware should definitely implement it.
If the Promo Armors simply cannot do it, then they should be redesigned from the ground up using the same framework as the N7 Armor. Or at least design future DLC armors so that the Helmets are removable.
If the Helmet Toggle Patch would truly be too much work for Bioware and would seriously cut into the time of developing future DLC, then do a simpler patch that simply makes Shepard's helmet come off when he enters a conversation, like in Dragon Age Origins.
And to anybody who think that's not a good investment of their time, here's all I have to say... If the Normandy Crash Sit, Firewalker Pack, & Alt Appearance Pack are any indication of how Bioware is spending their time so far when it comes to making Expansions and Add-on Missions, then I'd be fine with them taking a break to produce something people actually want and will enjoy like a Helmet Toggle/Auto Remove in Conversation Patch.
And I donno about you, but if I could go back in time and make it so Bioware did a Helmet Toggle/ Auto Remove Patch rather than the Normandy Crash Site, Firewalker, and Alt Appearance Pack, I would in a heartbeat.
However, I seriously doubt that anyone from Bioware has ever read this topic or even skimmed through it once, and until it gets like 5000 posts or something like that, they never will.
